Jennifer Lopez’s fans recently got a glimpse of what she may look like in her mugshot. J. Lo did not commit any crime to do so, but authorities took her lookalike into custody for alleged theft last month. A 35-year-old woman, Cyrena Anne Quast, caught everyone’s attention as she appeared to have an uncanny resemblance to the singer.

According to The New York Post, Quast was allegedly caught stealing at a Monticello store on August 30. She reportedly shoplifted two packs of power-tool batteries priced at $299 and $249. While her total theft cost was $578, the complaint put the stolen value at $747.

She was eventually charged with felony theft, according to the complaint obtained by The Watch MN. Quast admitted to the theft, and authorities booked her on a gross misdemeanor theft charge. However, it was not the case, but her similar appearance to that of Lopez’s made headlines. 

The 35-year-old gave a stern look in her mugshots, the look that the On The Floor crooner is known for. She tied her hair back in a sleek look and wore a white T-shirt. Lopez’s doppelgänger also wore silver hoops with a few strands of hair left untied in front of her ears. Quast also wore nose and lip rings, unlike Lopez. 

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office took her mugshots that sent J. Lo’s fans into a frenzy. An X user joked, “There’s a glitch in the matrix lol,” while another user shared, “For a moment I thought it was jlo lmao.” A third one put a spin on J. Lo’s 2002 hit Jenny from the Block and wrote, “Jenny from the cell block.”

An X user suggested Quast must begin her career as a J. Lo impersonator instead of shoplifting for money. They wrote, “She should start a real career instead of stealing by being a Jennifer Lopez impersonator. Nightclubs, parties, and events would hire her, and it would be honest work.” Another user agreed, writing, “100%. She’ll make so much money she won’t need to steal a darn thing again.”

Not all were convinced that Quast had a striking resemblance to the Office Romance star. “Sure. If you squint your eyes and shake your head left/right rapidly, yep, they’re the same person,” they argued. 

While J. Lo was not the one in the mugshots, she is no stranger to lockup. In 1999, she was arrested along with her then-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs for a Times Square club shooting incident. Lopez was not charged at the time due to insufficient evidence and was released later that day. 

However, the news outlet recently reported that law enforcement may reopen the investigation in the case, which left three bystanders wounded. Michael Discioarro, New York criminal defense attorney, said, “They got eyes on him in Miami, and the feds are talking to witness after witness.” “They’re corroborating everything they can. But everything past and present is on the table with Mr. Diddy right now,” Discioarro revealed. 

Record producer Lil Rod also claimed in his lawsuit that Diddy used Lopez to smuggle his gun into the nightclub. “Mr. Combs shared that he was responsible for the shooting in the nightclub in New York,” Rod alleged.
