Kelly Osbourne recently addressed her frail appearance and revealed the devastating reason why she lost weight. The singer’s fans were widely concerned about her transformation and wondered whether she herself chose to lose weight. Instead, Osbourne recently revealed that her father Ozzy Osbourne’s death deeply affected her.

According to the Daily Mail, the 41-year-old revealed that her dramatic weight loss was frightening to her. She said, “I looked like the f—— Crypt Keeper.” The singer recalled realizing that her body had gone through a tremendous change. “My spine – you could see every single bone,” Osbourne revealed.

Besides Osbourne, her friends and family repeatedly raised their concerns about her health. “I couldn’t see what other people saw because I was in so much pain,” she said. The singer added, “I just saw a broken person,” referring to Ozzy’s death in July 2025.

She said grief affected her appetite and made it difficult for her to eat. She would also feel nauseous every time she tried to eat. She added that the feeling of hunger did not “pop up” as she was “filled with so much pain.”

When she became aware of her frail appearance, Osbourne decided to hide it with a wig. She revealed how she could see what others were telling her only after a dress fitting for the Grammys. However, she refused to draw attention to her significant weight loss and let people focus on the tribute honoring her late father.

“I wore a wig to cover my face,” she said to hit her skinny cheekbones. She also carefully chose her wardrobe to not look “skinnier.” Eventually, the hack to hide her face was to opt for a wig.

“I was scared. I wanted to be there to support my mum and to pay tribute to my father’s legacy,” Osbourne shared. She further confessed that she later realized she should have stayed back from attending the event. “I wasn’t very well,” she admitted.

Osbourne revealed that she lived with “anticipatory grief” for about a decade as her father’s health deteriorated. The experience led her to believe that she was ready for what came next until she realized she was not. “The person I was before my dad died is dead,” she shared.

This was not the first time Osbourne revealed how she was struggling with the loss of her famous father. Trolls often targeted her during her healing process merely for her appearance. According to Hello!, she drew massive criticism after attending the Brit Awards 2026. At the time, she took to Instagram stories to address the trolling.

In her stories, she wrote, “There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something.” The 41-year-old further clapped back at trolls, accusing them of spreading her “struggles as gossip” and turning their backs on her when she needed the most support.

Osbourne questioned her trolls over their absence of compassion and character. In a recent interview, she revealed how she was grateful for those who stood by her through her hard time. “What you’ll find when you’re grieving is that people don’t know how to handle it, and you do lose a lot of friends,” Osbourne said before sharing that those who stayed beside her were her real well-wishers.
