Rihanna is known for her bold fashion choices and outspoken personality. She was recently seen serving back-to-back fashionable looks at her public outings. However, when she was an hour late to a Paris Fashion Week show, EJ Johnson publicly slammed her. Riri did not let it go unnoticed and appeared to respond with a one-word comment.

According to People, Johnson, who uses they/them pronouns, was also one of the attendees at the Christian Dior runway show on September 29. While leaving the show, the 34-year-old gave a recap of what all happened at the event in an Instagram video. They also mentioned Rihanna in the recap and took a brutal jibe at her. 

“We just left the Dior show. Getting out of there was crazy, but the show itself was beautiful. It did start an hour late because Rihanna was late. We didn’t care to wait for her, but the show was beautiful nonetheless,” Johnson said. The 38-year-old singer went to the show in a sleek, all-black Dior ensemble, including a dress with a matching jacket and heels. 

She did not forget to accessorize her look and added a chunky ring, anklet, and silver earrings.

Later, a video of The Rich Kids of Beverly Hills alum circulated online in which they were unable to enter their hotel after a run-in with paparazzi. Riri reacted to the video and left a one-word comment: “Damn.” Fans were elated to see the Diamonds crooner hop on the drama with a savage comment. 

An Instagram user wrote, “LMAOOOOOO, nah she’s hilarious,” while another penned, “Girl, dis ain’t it. We all wait for RiRi.” “Booooyy u betta stop while you’re ahead, nepo baby…pleaseeee chile we don have time (in my best Rihanna Bajan voice).. don’t come if you wasn’t sent 4 boo…,” a third one wrote. 

Rihanna reportedly maintained a streak of arriving late at fashion shows. The day before, she was an hour late to the Matières Fécales Spring 2027 show. Her hour-late arrival eventually delayed the runway show.

However, this was not the first time Johnson threw shade on Rihanna. They also reacted to the Unfaithful singer’s Met Gala 2026 look earlier this year. 

The 34-year-old claimed that several A-listers could have opted for better designs to go with the theme. They added, “It’s a very hard day — especially for me to say that about Rihanna because she’s been going through a lot but like let’s go back to Guo Pei and the yellow cape that was cascading down the stairs all those years ago.” 

According to Page Six, Johnson referred to the singer’s Met Gala 2015 look. They also called the look from more than a decade ago “bomb.”

In another incident, Johnson, who often talks about fashion, showed off a Bottega cape that they bought and claimed that it was the same one that Rihanna once wore. They said, “I think this is the one that Rihanna wore after the show.” They soon proudly added, “I think she wore the sample that came down the runway, but I was actually the only person who bought it off the runway.”
