Netflix has the cure for your post-holiday blahs. The streamer is ringing in the new year with an exciting list of new and returning shows. 

Top of the list is the highly anticipated premiere of Bridgerton Season 4. Also on the horizon are a twisty new series from Harlan Coben, a new adaptation of classic novel from iconic mystery writer Agatha Christie, and a reboot of a popular competition series that launched the careers of many stars.

‘Run Away’ 

Netflix’s latest partnership with bestselling author Harlan Coben drops New Year’s Day. The limited series Run Away stars James Nesbitt as Simon, who had the perfect life before his daughter Paige (Ellie De Lange) ran away. Minnie Driver plays his wife, Ingrid. 

Simon eventually finds Paige strung out on drugs in a city park. And she’s not alone. When an argument turns violent, Simon loses Paige all over again. His search for his daughter takes him into a dangerous underworld and will reveal dangerous secrets that could tear his family apart. 

Run Away premieres January 1.

‘Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials’ 

Put on your sleuthing hat and get ready for Netflix’s adaptation of Agatha Christie’s The Seven Dials Mystery. Set at a lavish English country house party in 1925, this three-part series will be a must-watch for fans of the Knives Out movies. It stars Mia McKenna-Bruce as a young sleuth who investigates after a practical joke appears to go horribly wrong. The inquisitive Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent must unravel a chilling plot that will change her life, cracking wide open the country house mystery.

Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials premieres January 15.

Star Search, which originally aired from 1983 to 1995, provided a launch pad for future stars like Tiffany, Billy Porter, Britney Spears, Adam Sandler, Aaliyah, Christina Aguilera, and Destiny’s Child. Netflix is aiming to recreate that magic with its Star Search reboot.  Each episode will spotlight performers in four categories – music, dance, variety/comedy, kids. Anthony Anderson hosts the show, which will air live on Netflix on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and feature real-time voting from viewers. 

Star Search premieres January 20 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. 

‘Finding Her Edge’

Netflix hits the rink in its new YA romantic drama Finding Her Edge. Based on the book by Jennifer Iacopelli, the series follows the three Russo sisters, who are heirs to a struggling figure skating dynasty. Seventeen-year-old Adriana (Madelyn Keys), the middle sister, is focused on training for the World Championships with her new partner Brayden (Cale Ambrozic). But she’s still harbouring feelings for her first love and former partner, Freddie (Olly Atkins). Her life becomes complicated when she and Brayden pretend to be a couple off the ice so they can land a sponsorship to keep the financially struggling Russo rink afloat.

Finding Her Edge premieres January 22. 

‘Bridgerton’ Season 4

Dearest gentle viewer: Netflix is inviting you to the fourth season of Bridgerton, which premieres in late January. The latest installment of the swoon-worthy romantic drama focuses on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and his Cinderella-esque romance with the mysterious Sophie (Yerin Ha)

Bridgerton Season 4 Episode 1-4 premiere January 29. Episodes 5-8 premiere February 26.
