5 Must-Watch Shows Coming to Netflix in May 2025
New month, new shows! Netflix has a fresh batch of new releases on its schedule for May 2025. The highlights include a new comedy with The Office’s Steve Carell, an updated adaptation of a classic young adult novel by Judy Blume, and a new docuseries about a notorious unsolved crime from the 1980s. ‘The Four Seasons’
Netflix has gathered some of the biggest names in comedy – including Carell, Tina Fey, and Will Forte – to star in The Four Seasons, a series about a trio of couples whose long-standing friendship is upended when one pair announces that they are splitting up. Based on the 1981 movie of the same name, the show follows the couples through four different vacations over the course of a year as the consequences of the split play out.

‘Forever’
In 1975, Judy Blume shook up the world of YA fiction with her novel Forever, a candid look at teen sexuality. Now, the story a high school couple’s romance is getting an update for a new generation. Netflix’s adaption of Forever is set in LA in 2018 and follows two Black teens, Keisha (Lovie Simone) and Justin (Michael Cooper Jr.), as they explore “romance and their identities through the awkward journey of being each other’s first.”
Forever releases May 8.
‘Secrets We Keep’
When Ruby, a Filipina au pair goes missing from a wealthy Copenhagen suburb, another au pair, Angel, and a neighbor, Cecile, start digging into what might have happened to the young woman. But the investigation into Ruby’s disappearance reveals uncomfortable truths about life in the exclusive community. This Danish miniseries that will appeal to fans of juicy crime dramas like Stay Close, The Perfect Couple, and The Undoing.
Secrets We Keep releases May 15.
‘Sirens’
Sirens is a dark comedy that takes an incisive look at women, power, and class. It follows a woman named Devon who heads to an exclusive island estate in an effort to reconnect with her younger sister, Simone. Bu Simone’s enigmatic socialite boss Michaela has an unsettling hold on her, much to Devon’s dismay. Sirens’ star-studded cast includes Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy, Milly Alcock, and Kevin Bacon.
Sirens releases May 22.
‘Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders’
In 1982, terror gripped Chicago and its surrounding suburbs when multiple people died after ingesting cyanide-laced Tylenol capsules. The crime sparked panic and a nationwide search for the killer (or killers). But the culprit behind the sinister crime was never found. This three-part docuseries from producer Joe Berlinger (Conversations With a Killer) digs into the baffling case that changed how over-the-counter medications are sold.
