NBC Renews ‘Chicago Fire,’ ‘Med,’ and ‘PD’ Following Successful Crossover Event
NBC is giving ChiHards a reason to celebrate.
On Friday, the network announced that it has renewed all three One Chicago shows. Chicago Fire Season 15, Chicago P.D. Season 14, and Chicago Med Season 12 will all premiere next fall as part of the 2026-27 broadcast season.
“We’re not going anywhere! One Chicago returns this fall on @NBC and Peacock,” the official One Chicago Instagram account wrote alongside a video of some of the cast reacting to the renewal news.
“I get to hang with these fools for another year!?! Season 14, here we come!” Marina Squerciati, who plays Kim Burgess on Chicago P.D., wrote on Instagram.
The renewal news comes on the heels of the franchise’s March 4 crossover event, which saw each of the three Dick Wolf dramas hitting their season highs in total viewers. Social video views for the 2026 crossover were also up +75% compared to the 2025 crossover.
“EVERY EPISODE’S GONNA BE A CROSSOVER!!!!!!!!!!!” joked Chicago Med star Steven Weber in an Instagram comment.
Chicago Fire, Chicago, P.D., and Chicago Med air Wednesdays on NBC. Episodes also stream the next day on Peacock.
