NBC Reveals First Look at ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 14 Premiere [PHOTOS]
Firehouse 51 is back in action. NBC has revealed a first look at the Chicago Fire Season 14 premiere.
“Kicking Down Doors” will air Wednesday, October 1. Here’s the synopsis (via TV Line): “A new face at Firehouse 51 causes tension, while rising chaos in the city brings new challenges to the team. Herrmann stalls on plans of relinquishing his office to Mouch.”

Who’s that new recruit who’s stirring up drama? The season premiere will introduce Brandon Larracuente as Sal Vasquez. His arrival “changes the whole dynamic at the firehouse,” Larracuente said in a video shared on the One Chicago YouTube channel.
Vasquez – who is taking over as driver from Sam Carver (Jake Lockett), who left Chicago at the end of season 13 – doesn’t exactly hit it off right away with his superior, Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo).

“Kidd is just kind of annoyed by the cockiness that he portrays,” Mayo said.
The season 14 premiere will also feature Daniel Kyri’s Darren Ritter character.

Earlier this year, it was announced that both Kyri and Lockett would leave Chicago Fire at the end of last season. However, Kyri will appear in a few episodes of season 14 in order to wrap up Ritter’s storyline.
Chicago Fire Season 14 premieres Wednesday, October 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
