The biggest twist in the Next Gen NYC season finale came in the episode’s final moments.

The first season of the Bravo series – which follows a group of friends navigating life in New York City – wrapped up with a bombshell, when it was revealed that cast member Georgia McCann had broken up with her boyfriend/business partner, Omar, after filming ended. And it wasn’t exactly a mutual split.

‘Next Gen NYC’ star calls Georgia’s boyfriend Omar an ‘alleged scammer’

It-girl Georgia is a brand and creative events strategist whose dream is to open Manhattan’s next hot nightclub. She thought she’d found the perfect partner – in business and in romance – in Omar, a crypto bro who promised to invest in her scheme for a bowling-themed nightspot called Club Club.

But Georgia’s Next Gen NYC co-stars weren’t convinced that her plan was a good idea, or that Omar would come through with the cash. Emira D’Spain declared him “an alleged scammer.”

“I won’t say anything else about Georgia’s boyfriend,” she said. “I will just say, ‘Google him.’ And then see if he’s going to give her that million dollars to invest in her bar.”

But Georgia plowed ahead. She pitched Omar on her idea for the club ahead of a trial run to test out the concept. (“Imagine the bowling balls have this kind of sexual connotation.”)

“If my friends tell me it’s stupid, it’s dumb, obviously we go back to the drawing board,” he replied as Georgia explained that she’s staking her professional reputation on her new project.

“I’m bringing, like, the idea, the creative, the team, eventually. And Omar’s coming in and he’s going to invest and find other investors as well,” Georgia said to a producer.

Omar left Georgia ‘stranded in Singapore’

While Omar might not have been all-in on Georgia’s concept for Club Club, he seemed committed to their relationship. Soon after the club’s test run, he and Georgia moved in together. But something changed after filming wrapped. The two split after a fight during a Christmas trip to Singapore.

“Life is so funny,” Georgia said in a TikTok shared at the end of the episode. “Because one day you’re living in a $10,000 per month apartment and you’re with this man you think you’re going to marry. And you get into a fight one night and he cuts you off financially.”

Charlie shed more light on the breakup. “She’s like stranded in Singapore,” he said. “Now her boxes are outside of my hallway.”

The breakup was unexpected, but not a major setback, Georgia said. After making her way back to the U.S. – and crashing on Charlie’s couch – Georgia is focused on living her best life.

“The breakup with Omar was logistically rough because we were living together and the end was quite messy,” Georgia said in an interview with Bravo’s Daily Dish. “I’m doing well now and focusing on my dream life and not [living] vicariously through someone else.”

Georgia puts Club Club plans on hold after Omar breakup

Unfortunately, the split meant Georgia had to put her plans for Club Club on hold.

“There was some drama with that once the breakup with Omar happened,” she said. “It’s a long story. I have the renders that are solely based on my creative direction and club ethos that look fabulous — the concept was based on my experience!”

“I’m working on other projects outside of the event space geared more to world domination which I plan to announce in the coming weeks and months,” she shared.

Her breakup with Omar also meant the end of her friendship with Charlie, Georgia added. He’s continued to pursue a business partnership with Omar, which means that he and Georgia are now not speaking at all.
