Tyreek Hill, the Miami Dolphins’ NFL star wide receiver, and Keeta Vacarro, his estranged wife, have been at the center of attention due to their tumultuous relationship. They married in November 2023 during Hill’s brief NFL bye week, a spontaneous decision after a two-year engagement. Now, in 2025, the exes are going through a messy divorce. Vacarro filed regarding alleged “altercations” she had with her estranged husband. Here’s what to know about Hill and Vacarro’s current divorce.

Why are Tyreek Hill and Keeta Vaccaro divorcing?

Tyreek Hill and Keeta Vaccaro’s relationship has been marked by both high-profile moments and intense challenges. The couple began dating in 2020 and became engaged in 2021, eventually marrying in late 2023. Their daughter, Capri, was born in November 2024, adding a new dimension to their family life. However, their marriage faced serious strains, culminating in Vaccaro filing for divorce in 2025 amid allegations of domestic disputes.

Vaccaro and Hill haven’t stated why they are divorcing. However, according to TMZ, Vaccaro filed for a divorce a day after cops were called over a domestic dispute at their home in April 2025. The Sunny Isles Beach Police Department incident report states Vaccaro’s mother, Alesia, says she called for help following Hill throwing a computer to the floor and grabbing the couple’s daughter. Police officers on the scene said Vaccaro stated that she and Hill had several arguments recently. This specific incident allegedly stemmed from saying Hill “was not involved enough with their daughter.” The cops said Vaccaro explained how the comment “irritated” Hill.

According to officials, everyone involved said “the argument never became physical.” Officers did not make any arrests, and the investigation didn’t go further.

“On Monday, we were informed that the police were called to Tyreek Hill’s home, and after conversations with Tyreek and members of his family, the police departed the residence without further incident, and the case was closed,” the Miami Dolphins stated at the time.

Keeta Vaccaro alleged more about the incident in a divorce court filing

Court documents obtained by In Touch Weekly showed more about the alleged incident between Tyreek Hill and Keeta Vaccaro. Vaccaro stated in the documents that she filed for divorce “following an altercation on April 7 … during which [Hill] conducted himself in a threatening, violent, abusive and unsafe manner toward [Vaccaro], toward her mother, and toward the parties’ four-and-one-half-month-old daughter.”

Vaccaro also alleged that Hill doesn’t “desire” time with their child. He allegedly “has no sincere desire to spend time with the baby, to assume parental responsibilities for the baby or to be personally involved with the baby,” the filing reads.

“[Hill] is unable to place the needs of the child over his own needs; his impulsive, unpredictable behavior and his plan to delegate the child’s care to others is not in the best interests of and is harmful to the children,” the motion continued.

The documents also alleged that Hill sought “coercive control” over Vaccaro. He allegedly would not allow her to have “exclusive use” of their Miami condo.

Ultimately, in the filing, Vaccaro sought exclusive use of the condo. She also sought custody of their child with supervised visitation with Hill.

Keeta Vaccaro claims she had several domestic disputes with Tyreek Hill over the years. However, Hill’s personal attorney, Julius B. Collins, called the allegations a “smear campaign.”

“The shakedown is apparent,” Collins stated, according to NBC 6 South Florida. “Ms. Vaccaro wants an unreasonable amount of money that we believe she knows that she is not entitled to. The new allegations that Ms. Vaccaro and her counsel have decided to allege are all unsubstantiated, untrue, and an attempt to generate bad media coverage for Mr. Hill and therefore extort a large settlement offer from Mr. Hill, of which we believe Ms. Vaccaro is not entitled in this 17 month marriage.”

Attorney Michael Gottlieb, who is representing Hill in the divorce, called the allegations “false, spurious.” He also said the allegations were “intended as a means of shaking down Mr. Hill for money ….”
