Who Is NHL Player Jordan Harris’ Fiancée, Codie Cross?
After serving as team captain and earning recognition for his leadership and defensive reliability in college, Jordan Harris was selected in the third round of the 2018 NHL Draft by the Montreal Canadiens. He made his NHL debut in the 2021–22 season. In 2024, Harris was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Patrik Laine and a 2nd-round pick.
On July 1, 2025, Harris signed a one-year deal with the Boston Bruins, putting him back in the city where his love story with his fiancée began.
Here’s more about Harris and his relationship with Codie Cross.
How Harris and Cross met
Harris and Cross are college sweethearts.
She told NHL’s My Man, “We met in 2019 at Northeastern [University in Boston] when he was on the men’s hockey team … I’m two years older than Jordan, so I didn’t really know who he was at the time. I kind of heard his name and obviously his accolades and everything, but we met in a dorm room and we just started talking [from there].”
Cross also shared with the publication what Harris’ best quality is, “More than anything, his patience. He is such a patient person with anybody. It doesn’t matter who he’s talking to, who he’s with, he’ll give you all the time in the world … He just cares so much about where his feet are in the moment, and everything else can wait a little bit. If he’s a couple of minutes late, he doesn’t really see that as a negative because he’s in the moment with who he’s with.”
Cross is an athlete as well
Harris and Cross share a love of sports, but not just any sport. She played collegiate hockey for the Huskies women’s team at Northeastern.
Harris told Bruins.com that fact is how she can relate to what he’s going through, even the tough experiences like injuries. He explained that she suffered a bad high-ankle sprain during her senior year and had to rehab while in-season.
So when he fractured his ankle in October 2025, Cross “was so helpful with all that stuff. And she knows how tough it is when you’re out, and you’re not playing. Just to have her around for support and just to chat with her when some days are worse than others, it means the world.”
When Harris proposed and when they’re getting married
In May 2025, during a trip to New York City, Harris got down on one knee and proposed to Cross. The pair shared their happy news via Instagram with a carousel of photos of the moment.
They’re set to tie the knot on July 24, 2026.
The couple shares their home with the new addition to their family. In 2026, Cross and Harris adopted a puppy together, a Mini Bernedoodle they named Chai.
