Four years after winning big in court against blogger Tasha K, or Latasha Kebe, Cardi B is seeking sanctions against her. Cardi, born Belcalis Almánzar, said Kebe has repeatedly violated a non-disparagement deal. In 2022, the rapper won $3.9 million against Kebe. A spokesperson for Kebe said Nicki Minaj, a longtime rival of Cardi’s, donated money to help her pay off her judgment.

Cardi B won $4 million from a blogger she accused of defamation

A jury awarded Cardi $3.9 million in a defamation suit. In a deal, Kebe agreed not to denigrate Cardi or her former husband, Offset. In exchange, Cardi agreed not to collect in full the $3.9 million judgment. Now, though, she has asked a judge to impose “economically painful” sanctions against Kebe, alleging that she has repeatedly violated their agreement.

“Debtor [Latasha Kebe] has engaged in a relentless course of conduct designed to target and harass Ms. Almánzar and her family through thinly coded references, scantily veiled commentary, and strategic provocation all while knowing that her audience of over one million social media followers will immediately and universally identify Ms. Almánzar as the subject,” reads the filing (per Rolling Stone).

Cardi’s lawyers say that they have repeatedly warned Kebe about her posts, but have documented over two dozen “egregious violations” of the non-disparagement clause.

“Debtor still believes that she is above the law, consequences, and is invulnerable,” the filing reads. “And what makes this pattern of defiance particularly egregious is not merely the violations themselves, but what debtor has openly admitted in public broadcasts. … She has made clear that she intends to resume harassment of Ms. Almánzar once her debt is paid off.”

Nicki Minaj reportedly made a donation to help the blogger pay her debt to Cardi B

In March 2026, Kebe launched a GoFundMe to help her pay her legal fees. Cardi’s filing said that this is meant to paint her as a “financial antagonist.”

“These are the actions of someone who agreed to a court-confirmed obligation under duress of dismissal, never intended to honor it in spirit, and is openly attempting to engineer a path around it,” the motion read, per Bloomberg.

Kebe’s GoFundMe seeks $3.5 million. A spokesperson for Kebe said Minaj donated an undisclosed amount of money to the blogger in March. She will use the funds, they said, to pay off her judgment within a year.

The pair have feuded for years

Minaj’s decision to side with Kebe isn’t surprising, given her long history with Cardi. The two rappers reportedly began feuding in 2017. While they initially denied that there was any beef, things boiled over at New York Fashion Week in 2018. The pair reportedly got into a physical altercation at the Harper’s Bazaar party.
