Rihanna and Other Huge Stars Tipped to Make Last-Minute Appearance at Coachella
The 25th edition of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival kicked off with A-list celebrities, influencers, and fans from all over flocking to the desert to catch some of the biggest names in music perform. The first week of the festival kicked off with headliners Sabrina Carpenter and Justin Bieber. There was also a surprise appearance from Jennifer Lopez.
Now, ahead of the second Coachella weekend, there are rumors about which mega stars will be making a cameo. From Rihanna to Bad Bunny, here are the odds of who will rock the stage with a surprise appearance next. Plus, the musical acts and celeb attendees people can’t stop talking about.
Justin Bieber receives backlash, Barker’s guest appearance, and the Kardashian clan spotted
Some of the headlines from Coachella’s first weekend include Clipse bringing out Kourtney Kardashian’s husband, Travis Barker, to play the drums for the duo’s first four songs: “Chains and Whips,” “POV,” “Popular Demand (Popeyes),” and “Inglorious Bastards.”
Speaking of the Kardashian-Jenners, Kourtney was there as was Kim with her beau, Lewis Hamilton, and her daughter, North West. Kendall Jenner was spotted at the festival as well and sparked buzz about whether she and Euphoria actor Jacob Elordi are an item when they were seen getting cozy at an after-party thrown by Justin Bieber.
The Biebs is perhaps the most-talked-about star following the first weekend, as he left fans divided over his performance. While some gushed over the nostalgia he brought when playing some of his most popular tracks like “Baby” and “Never Say Never,” others were left disappointed that Bieber played the songs on YouTube and then simply sang along to the videos playing in the background.
A number of fans sounded off about that on social media. And fellow pop star, Katy Perry, who watched Bieber’s YouTube-heavy performance joked, “Thank God he has premium. I don’t wanna see no ads.”
Rihanna and other stars rumored to appear this weekend
So who could show up at California’s largest music festival this weekend?
Among the names rumored for last-minute cameos are SZA, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Bad Bunny, Ice Spice, Doja Cat, and Rihanna. According to Betway odds, “SZA currently leads the market at 3/1, closely followed by Kendrick Lamar at 7/2. Meanwhile, Travis Scott sits at 4/1, with Bad Bunny and Ice Spice both priced at 5/1. Doja Cat follows at 6/1, while Rihanna remains a contender at 20/1.”
The “Diamonds” hitmaker hasn’t performed live in years, but fans are hopeful that Coachella could mark her long-awaited return.
Speaking on the latest markets, Betway’s Lewis Knowles told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “Coachella is always full of surprises, and this year is no different with a strong lineup of potential guest appearances. SZA currently leads the betting, but with names like Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott also in the mix, it’s shaping up to be an unpredictable weekend. While Rihanna sits further down the odds, fans will be hoping for a major moment should she take to the stage.”
