How Nicole Brown Simpson’s Sister Is Honoring Her and Including Something From Her Late Sibling’s Wedding to O.J. Simpson
It’s been more than 30 years since Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman were murdered, and the trial of Nicole’s ex-husband, former NFL star and actor O.J. Simpson, gripped the nation.
In the three decades since, there have been countless documentaries, TV shows, movies, and books about the case and the murders that have gone unsolved. Now, as another grim anniversary of Nicole’s death nears, her sister, Tanya, wants to honor the woman Nicole was and the life she lived before the tragic night on June 12, 1994. She is doing so by creating commemorative magnets with photos of Nicole, including one of her on her wedding day to O.J. in 1985.
Tanya took to Instagram and posted the magnets with a lengthy caption that read, “Over the years, so many of you have shared stories, photos, memories, and messages with me. Because of that love, I wanted to create something special that people could hold onto and enjoy every day. Working with my dear friend Kiki Macdonald, we have created a limited collection of commemorative magnets featuring some of my favorite photographs of Nicole.
“Each magnet celebrates a different moment in Nicole’s life and reflects the warmth, beauty, joy, and spirit that those closest to her remember so well.”
After Nicole and Goldman were found stabbed to death outside her Los Angeles home, O.J. was charged with their murders. He was acquitted in 1995 following a highly publicized, months-long trial. Years later, O.J. was arrested in Las Vegas for armed robbery and kidnapping involving sports memorabilia collectors. He was convicted in 2008 and sentenced to nine to 33 years in prison. He spent nine years behind bars.
O.J. died after a battle with prostate cancer on April 10, 2024. He was 76.
