Olivia Culpo Gifts a Classic Dessert to All of the 49ers’ WAGs for Christmas
Olivia Culpo has built a reputation as a thoughtful hostess and genuine foodie, not just a model who dabbles in cooking. The co-author of True Roots, a cookbook inspired by her Italian heritage and Rhode Island upbringing, is known for her warm and intentional takes on serving others. This approach fits naturally into the NFL WAGs social circle she’s a part of. In Culpo’s thoughtful fashion, every wife and girlfriend of her husband Christian McCaffrey’s teammates receives a special gift from the couple.
Olivia Culpo celebrates Christmas by gifting pecan pies to every San Francisco 49ers wife and girlfriend
NFL WAGs, or wives and girlfriends, face long seasons of travel and public scrutiny as they support their partners through injuries and stress. It’s easier to navigate this experience when you’ve got other women by your side. Naturally, WAGs gravitate toward each other as they understand the unique challenges of their boyfriends’ and husbands’ football careers.
The San Francisco 49ers encourage connection through wives’ groups, charity events, game-day suites, and team-organized activities. As Culpo has gotten to know other 49ers WAGs, like Kristin Juszczyk and Claire Kittle, she’s forged a bond that results in tasty Christmas gifts.
“I always send everybody a pie, and then I’ll have to get them my Abercrombie collection, of course,” Culpo told People as she discussed her involvement in Abercrombie & Fitch’s football-themed In Her Own League campaign. “I send a pecan pie every year to everybody.”
The San Francisco 49ers’ roster consists of roughly 53 players total. If even half, let alone all, of the team members have a wife or girlfriend, that’s a LOT of pecan pies.
Culpo loves to cook and bake — she’s hosting the food competition series, Next Gen Chef, on Netflix — but she opts to hire out her pecan pies during the holidays rather than make them herself. This is understandable, especially this year, because Culpo is adjusting to her and McCaffrey’s newest family member, 5-month-old daughter, Colette Annalise.

Culpo admits she might bake all of the pies herself “someday.” But for now, she’ll “trust professionals.” The 33-year-old has her hands full with baby Colette. Decked out in red, gold, and white, the 5-month-old often makes cute appearances with her mom at 49ers games. She will continue to do so as San Francisco enters the playoffs.
Colette’s dad is on pace for another 1,000-yard rushing and 1,000-yard receiving season, which would be historic — something only Roger Craig and Marshall Faulk have done before in a season, according to Yahoo Sports. McCaffrey, who’s been married to Culpo since June 29, 2024, is battling a back injury but continues to be a major contributor to San Francisco’s success.
Between new motherhood, a thriving career, and cheering on her running back through another NFL season, Culpo continues to prioritize connection in the ways that matter most to her.
