Olivia Plath is saying goodbye to Welcome to Plathville. The 27-year-old will make her final appearance on the TLC show in Tuesday’s season 7 finale.

Olivia Plath ‘feels so many emotions’ about ‘Welcome to Plathville’

Olivia has made it clear in the past that she’s ready to be done with the Plath family and their reality series. But leaving the show also comes with mixed emotions, she said in a post on her Instagram Story.

“When I look back at the last 7 (!) years of my life on this show, I feel so many emotions,” she wrote, describing herself as a “sheltered, newly married, fundie kid” when filming began.”

“This chapter closing brings some sadness,” Olivia continued. “It is sad for me to see who I once knew, what they had the potential to become and the path they chose instead. It could have been so different.”

However, Olivia also realizes that her rocky past has led her to where she is today.

“It it have been different, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Grateful for this journey and all it taught me,” she wrote.

The wedding photographer added that the finale had been filmed “a while ago.” Since then, she has succeeded in getting out of her TLC contract.

“I have not only endeavored to distance myself from hate, bullying, but also reported harmful behavior and tried to stand up for what is write,” she said. “It sickens me to see violence, hatred, and dysfunction presented as entertainment.”

Olivia has one last meeting with Ethan on ‘Welcome to Plathville’ season finale

Olivia’s marriage to her husband Ethan Plath broke down in the later seasons of the show. While the pair have been separated since October 2023, they have yet to finalize their divorce. In Tuesday’s finale, Olivia and Ethan sit down for the first time in months to discuss ending their marriage for good.

“I’m not arguing with you over the details of the divorce,” Ethan tells Olivia in a clip shared on Instagram. “We’ve got everything lined up. Let’s do it and move on.”

“We can and I’m not arguing with you either,” she replies. “But you made me wait a year and a half. You can at least be polite about asking.”

“I asked you politely in every way,” Ethan says. “I’m not apologizing for anything.”

The conversation then shifts to comments Olivia has made about Ethan and his family. He calls them “slander.” She insists they are the truth.

The tense meeting is frustration for Olivia, but she admits she shouldn’t be surprised.

“I guess I was hoping this time would be different,” she tells a producer. “…I should know by now not to walk into it with expectations.”

Welcome to Plathville airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on TLC. Episodes also stream on HBO Max.
