While fans love seeing Snoop Dogg out of his element at the 2026 Winter Olympics, his security team is getting flak. Dutch speed skater and media commentator Marianne Timmer recently spoke about her unpleasant interaction with Snoop’s security while attending the events. She spoke about the situation during an interview with Sportnieuws. According to Timmer, she was attempting to get interviews with the competitors when the clash happened in a hallway.
“I was standing against a wall, and one of the security guards pushed me even closer to the wall,” she said, according to a translation. “I said, ‘Just act normal.’ It’s a really wide hall.” Timmer estimated that the wall was about 14 feet across.
“Then the guy came back, and I said, ‘What?! Do I have to go through that wall or something?'” she continued. “He’s acting all rebellious. I think I said something mean back. ‘I’m not here waiting for Snoop Dogg, I’m waiting for Jenning de Boo. And we want to see Joep [Wennemars, a Dutch speed skater]. And we want to talk to Kjeld [Nuis, another Dutch speed skater] for a moment.'”
Timmer noted how strict the security was, according to People. “We saw a Dutchman being roughly led away by some very large security guards in the stands,” she continued. “I could just picture myself being grabbed by the neck and thrown out. That would have been a great story.”
