Pamela Anderson Embraces ‘Effortless Glam’ With Her New Hairstyle, Expert Says
Pamela Anderson is a blonde bombshell no more. The 58-year-old star recently unveiled her latest style evolution, debuting a shaggy, red-toned haircut during Paris Fashion Week.
Pamela Anderson displays ‘confidence’ with new hairstyle

The autumnal look is a major shift for Anderson, who has been known for her flaxen tresses. Earlier this year, she walked the red carpet at the Met Gala, where she showed off a chin-length bob with short bangs. It was a far cry from the long platinum locks that were her signature look during her Baywatch days. Now, she’s taking things a step further, ditching the blonde for a striking copper color and a cut that’s the epitome of casual cool.
The new do is a bold change, but one that Anderson easily pulls off, said hair stylist Danielle Louise, on beauty and wellness platform Fresha.
“Pamela has always been associated with platinum waves and bombshell styling, but her copper bob feels effortless and modern,” she shared.
In recent years, Anderson has embraced a no-makeup look as she embraces an idea of beauty that’s more rooted in her authentic self.
Ditching makeup “was the beginning of me letting go of the image I had always had of myself. What is this cartoon character that I’d created? OK, that was fun. But I’m not that person anymore,” Anderson told Better Homes & Gardens in 2024.
The Naked Gun star’s latest haircut is another step in that direction, Louise said.
“It’s less about hiding age, more about holding herself with confidence – which makes the look so powerful,” the hair expert explained.
“The copper shade is clever,” Louise added. “Warm tones add brightness to the complexion, which can be softer and more flattering than icy blonde as skin changes over time. Paired with a bob, it creates lift and shape without heavy styling.”
Why the ‘Baywatch’ star has an ‘iconic’ style
Anderson is just one of several celebs, including Helen Mirren and Andie MacDowell, who’ve proved that aging is no obstacle to embracing bold styles. Whether it’s an eye-catching color or daring cut, the key to pulling off a dramatic look is owning it, whatever your age, Louise said.
“What people really respond to is confidence,” she said. “[Anderson] carries herself with ease, and that’s what makes a style iconic. The bob isn’t about fitting in – it’s about standing out on her own terms.”
That echoes what Anderson herself has said about her shifting look, who’s said she feels that she’s become more herself as she’s gotten older.
“Your hair is another way to express yourself, and I’ve never been shy,” she told Harper’s Bazaar earlier this year. “I guess I’m genetically blessed, but I’ve always had very thick, healthy hair. I do like to cut it and to style it differently. It’s freeing. I am a big lover of change; that’s what keeps us young and excited.”
