Peacock Reveals First Look at ‘Married at First Sight’ Season 20 [VIDEO]

Love is in the air at Peacock! 

On Monday, the streamer revealed the first look at Married at First Sight Season 20. While there’s no official premiere date yet, the one-minute teaser offers preview of what’s to come in the next season of the relationship reality series from the creators of Love Is Blind.

As usual, the sneak peek features the Married at First Sight cast members battling pre-wedding jitters, as they decide to outsource the choice of a partner to the show’s experts and prepare to say “I do” to someone they’ve never met.

“I’m getting married and I can’t believe it,” a woman says in the video. 

“I want a wife. I want it to be me, someone else, and my cat,” a man explains. 

But are these couples-to-be really strangers? Season 20 will feature at least one pair who’ve met prior to appearing on the show. 

“I just walked down the aisle to a stranger who actually is not a complete stranger,” a woman says. (This won’t be the first time a MAFS couple will have met before the wedding – Bennett and Amelia from the show’s New Orleans season knew each other before getting married, as did Bao and Johnny from the Houston season.) 

Another MAFS Season 20 cast member might not be a complete stranger to viewers. 

“You’ve been on some shows before,” a man says in the teaser. 

In addition to some wedding-day twists, the new season will see the couples battling an array of relationship hurdles. One groom confesses he’s never been in serious long-term relationship, which a woman – presumably his wife – comments is a “red flag.” 

Despite the unknown, these singles are willing to take a chance in the hopes of finding love. 

“Some of the best parts of life are on the other side of risk,” one woman says. “And, I mean, you can’t get more risky than this.”

Married at First Sight Season 19 is now streaming on Peacock.
