Premiere Date Confirmed for Latest ‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff: What We Know About ‘Dutton Ranch’
Saddle up for another Yellowstone spinoff.
Weeks after the debut of CBS’s Marshals, which continues the story of Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) as he embarks on a new career as a U.S. Marshal following a devastating tragedy, Paramount+ has confirmed the premiere date for its Yellowstone spinoff, Dutton Ranch.
When does ‘Dutton Ranch’ premiere?

Dutton Ranch premieres Friday, May 15 on Paramount+.
The first two episodes will be available to stream on the premiere date, with new episodes dropping weekly thereafter. There will be nine episodes in total.
Who is in the ‘Dutton Ranch’ cast?
Dutton Ranch stars Yellowstone alums Kelly Reilly (as Beth Dutton) and Cole Hauser (as Rip Wheeler). They’re joined by Oscar nominees Ed Harris and Annette Bening, along with Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, and Natalie Alyn Lind.
What is the new ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff about?
In Dutton Ranch, Beth and Rip trade the big skies of Montana for the wide open range of Texas. The show follows the pair as they work to build a future together, far away from the ghosts of Yellowstone.
Beth and Rip will “collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire,” according to Paramount+. “In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul.”
Is there a ‘Dutton Ranch’ teaser?
Yes! Paramount+ has released a minute-long teaser for Dutton Ranch, and from the looks of things, it’s going to be an explosive first season (literally). The clip shows Beth and Rip in their new home of Texas, and it’s clear that while they may have left the Yellowstone Ranch behind, they haven’t said goodbye to drama and violence.
The teaser opens with Rip discovering what looks to be a dead body buried in the desert, followed by Beth toting a gun. It ends with the couple walking away from a burning building.
“A legacy is a beautiful think,” Beth tells Bening’s character in the teaser. “But only if it survives.”
Kelly Reilly teases ‘different era’ for Beth Dutton
The new show will see an evolved version of Beth, Reilly teased in an interview earlier this year with The Times. But the core aspects of Beth’s character that made her a hit with viewers will still be there.
“This is a different era. I had hit my quota of the younger Beth,” Reilly said. “But there is a lot of why the audience fell in love with her. Beth was unrelenting, dangerous and could easily have been written as a man. People were very critical at the start.”
“She is unapologetic, out there, flawed, damaged and brave,” the actor added. “Women are always asked to play strong role model types, while men can play the gnarliest characters and get away with it.”
