Ray J Says He’s Permabanned From Twitch After Livestream Arrest

Ray J, the 45‑year‑old R&B singer and reality TV personality, has recently shared a dire update about his health. Earlier in 2026, he had a serious hospitalization in Las Vegas for pneumonia and chest pain. He revealed that his heart is functioning at only about 25 % capacity, which doctors have reportedly described as life‑threatening. In candid social media posts, he said medical professionals warned he may have “only months to live,” suggesting he might not survive into 2027.

Ray J has openly attributed the severity of his condition to years of heavy alcohol and substance use that he says damaged his heart. He has thanked fans, family, and especially his sister, Brandy, for their support during this ongoing health crisis.

“I want to thank everybody for praying for me,” Ray J said on Instagram Live. “I was in a hospital. My heart’s only beating like 25 percent, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be all right.”

TMZ reports that Ray J said his doctor prescribed him several medications that are typically for those who have a high risk of heart failure, including the cholesterol medication Lipitor, Jardiance, and Entresto. In another clip, Ray J says he plans on heading to Haiti to “do some Voodoo.”

“I think I’m going to Haiti, because I think Haiti, and my Haitians, they got the cure,” he continued. “So, I’m going to Haiti in two weeks. I’m gonna stream it; I’m gonna do everything.”

The U.S. Department of State currently maintains a Level 4 “Do Not Travel” advisory for Haiti. This is due to reported kidnapping, violent crime, civil unrest, and limited medical infrastructure.

Ray J’s followers are commenting on his decision to head to Haiti

Ray J’s decision to head to Haiti for medical treatment has been met by confusion from his followers. Several Reddit users commented on the situation, noting that they didn’t expect the singer to find a cure or medication that he doesn’t have access to in the U.S.

“I’d love to know what kind of cutting-edge treatment is only available in Haiti of all places …,” one Reddit user commented.

“As a Haitian, he is going to a Voodoo doctor,” another user wrote. “Best case scenario, he gets scammed, worst case, he gets cursed. Either way, it’s not going to help.”

Other followers are hopeful regarding Ray J’s prognosis if he sticks to the doctor’s orders.

“An EF of 25% is definitely serious but not an immediate death sentence since there are multiple advanced therapies available if medication doesn’t help him, and there’s a transplant that could be an option,” another Reddit user wrote.

The singer says he thought he was indestructible and would drink ‘4 or 5’ bottles of alcohol a day

While speaking to his camera, Ray J noted how he felt like he could “handle all that alcohol” and substance abuse in the past. Unfortunately, he’s now facing the consequences of his decisions.

“[I thought] I could handle all that alcohol, I could handle all the Adderall, I could handle all the drugs, I could handle everything, but I couldn’t,” he said in a clip on X posted by TMZ. “It curbed my time here. … I f***ed up real bad. I didn’t think so, though. I’m balling around like, damn, I’m going so hard, I’m going four or five bottles a day, 10 Addies. I’m like, ain’t nothing happening to me. I’m indestructible.”

Ray J concluded his message by stating that his mother and father were planning to pick him up the following day and take him to another doctor appointment. He also mentioned how his sister, Brandy, was paying his bills for the remainder of the year.
