Ray J and Sean “Diddy” Combs have had their ups and downs through the years. On May 27, 2025, Ray J spoke on Piers Morgan Uncensored about Combs’ trial. He found many of the allegations and testimonies disturbing, but he believes the prosecution will have a difficult time proving Combs is guilty of sex trafficking and RICO charges.

While speaking to Piers Morgan, Ray J noted that the evidence found in the videos seen in Combs’ trial is “disturbing” and “not OK.” However, the singer/songwriter doesn’t believe the sexually deviant behavior proves the federal criminal allegations.

“This is where it starts to go overboard,” Ray J said, “and it’s like, whoever was mad at the top was really mad. And I think we’re here now, and I think it’s a flex. Because what are they trying to get out of this court case? Does everybody that’s talking about these stories, do they want to see Puffy rot in jail? Is that what we’re here for? Because I just think that that’s unfair … it just could’ve been done a different way. And now, it’s starting to worry me.”

Ray J noted that he “honestly” believes Combs will walk free. “There’s nothing here, right?” he said. “I think they made their point. Whatever they were trying to make, your point is made. Now, let Diddy out. Free Diddy!”

Ray J added that he believes Combs’ freedom “will happen faster” than others expect. “I think we’re all starting to see what this is,” he said.

Ray J verified that he never attended a ‘freak-off’

During Ray J’s interview with Piers Morgan, he noted that he spoke to Sean “Diddy” Combs briefly before everything “went down.” Now, he feels “worried” about the hip-hop mogul.

“Stories are being created, and it’s starting to feel like it’s the world against Diddy,” Ray J said. “And I feel for him, you know what I mean? And I’m actually worried about him in this state now because it’s a dangerous world. We’re just seeing a lot of things unfold and power being played. It’s a circus act.”

Morgan asked Ray J if he ever attended a “freak-off” sex party hosted by Combs. Ray J said he did not, though he did attend many parties with Combs through the years.

“Even the word ‘freak-offs,’ we’ve never used that term whenever we went to a Diddy party,” Ray J said. “A Diddy party was where most people couldn’t get in, and the top of the top, the A-listers, are out on the scene. … Whatever door they’re talking about — the ‘freaky door’ — I never got an invitation, never knew it existed.”

The singer/songwriter discussed the fight he had with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ sons

In October 2024, TMZ reported that Sean “Diddy” Combs’ three sons, Christian, Quincy, and Justin, were ready to fight Ray J outside of Tara Electra’s Unruly Agency Halloween party in Los Angeles. Combs’ sons were upset with the comments Ray J had previously made about their famous father.

While speaking to Piers Morgan, Ray J said Combs’ sons approached him twice before that night. Then, after the Halloween party, Ray J was “more aggressive” than usual. “We kind of all had this really intense kind of scuffle,” he said. “… I think they were just trying to make their point, as any sons would. … We were able to get on the phone and talk about it as men.”
