Ned Fulmer has resurfaced with a new plan and a new public-facing persona nearly three years after the “wife guy” of the Try Guys nearly broke the internet with a cheating scandal. Fulmer is apparently heading back to public life with a podcast and a plan after his self-imposed exile, and he even spoke extensively about his cheating scandal in a recent interview. An insider claims that the Yale graduate may not have been entirely forthcoming during that interview, though. Apparently, Ned and Ariel Fulmer are currently separated.

Why did Ned Fulmer leave the Try Guys?

Everything seemed to be going well for Ned Fulmer until the end of September 2022. On September 27, he was caught cheating. Within hours of photos of him clearly engaging in an affair hitting the internet, he was unceremoniously dropped from 2nd Try, the company he formed with his former friends, Zach Kornfeld, Eugene Lee Yang, and Keith Habersberger. The remaining three members of the group later released a video explaining the reason behind their decision and the complex intersection of friendship and business they found themselves in.

Ned issued an apology before abandoning his social media completely. His wife went silent and later locked down her accounts. She left the podcast she worked on with the company, too. Ned’s affair partner also left the company, although it’s unclear if she left of her own accord or if she was fired. Alexandria Herring was a production assistant at the time and engaged. After she was identified, she locked down her social media, ended her engagement, and has stayed quiet ever since.

Ned Fulmer’s words are measured in a recent interview

Ned Fulmer connected with People ahead of the release of his podcast, Rock Bottom. The podcast, which is Fulmer’s first foray into public-facing media since the scandal, will feature the former Try Guy interviewing people who have clawed their way back from their own “rock bottoms.” Ned’s own rock bottom is the reason he left the limelight. During his chat with the outlet, he discussed the reasons he stepped away from the public for so long, what he learned from his hiatus, and, perhaps most importantly, his current relationship with Ariel Fulmer.

Ned told the outlet that he and his long-term partner are in a better place than they were. He insists they are in a place were boundaries are respected and understood. Ned went on to explain that counseling helped them reach a place of understanding. Still, he admitted to facing many moments that made him question whether continuing together was the right choice.

If you look at the article carefully, the Ivy League graduate and former internet star is pretty measured with his words. While it’s clear Ariel is still very much a part of his life, he is exceptionally careful not to say in what capacity she’s in his life. That might be to keep fans guessing in the moments leading up to his new podcast’s release. Ariel will be on the debut episode. Still, an insider claims Ned is as far from a “wife guy” as possible right now.

An insider claims Ned and Ariel Fulmer are separated

On the eve of his new podcast’s release, the dangers of the internet are rearing their head again. Ned Fulmer was careful and measured in his words to People. Still, Los Angeles is an interconnected city, and it’s hard to make a move without anyone knowing. TMZ actually collected footage of Ned out and about recently. He is clearly chatting up a lady who is not Ariel Fulmer, while enjoying some downtime.  While the photos, allegedly taken on September 7, are perfectly chaste, it’s not really a great look.

While it might be fans’ knee-jerk reaction to assume he’s cheating yet again, an insider claims it’s a bit more complicated than that. TMZ reportedly connected with people familiar with the couple who claim they are not together at the moment. While legal divorce papers haven’t been filed, they are allegedly separated. The insider claims the duo plans to drop the news on the premiere episode of Ned’s podcast. It won’t be long before we know if that’s true or not. The first episode, featuring Ariel, will be released on September 17.
