Bravo is taking a break from Miami. 

The Real Housewives of Miami is on indefinite pause, Variety reports. Bravo’s decision not to move forward with an eighth season of RHOM comes amid cast tension and declining ratings. The show is the least-watched of the Real Housewives franchises, according to the trade publication.

Bravo rarely announces official cancellations, and RHOM’s future remains uncertain. The show might follow in the footsteps of other Housewives franchises like RHONY and eventually get a reboot with an all-new cast. Or it could meet the fate of The Real Housewives of Dallas and The Real Housewives of D.C., which appear to have been permanently mothballed. 

RHOM has gone through several shakeups since it premiered in 2011. Bravo canceled the show in 2013, after the third season. It was dormant until 2021, when a fourth season with a mix of new and returning cast members premiered on Peacock. In season 6, RHOM returned to Bravo.

Though The Real Housewives of Miami struggled to find a large audience, the show had devoted fans. Unsurprisingly, they’re disappointed by the news that RHOM has been cancelled. 

“Justice for RHOM,” one fan commented on a post on cast member Larsa Pippen’s Instagram.

“I’m so pissed they keep OC on but not Miami,” another person replied.  

“This pause is criminal ,” someone else chimed in. 

“JUSTICE FOR #RHOM,” a distraught viewer commented on a post on Bravo’s Instagram. “lol there’s bigger problems in the world but omg nooooo pls don’t take away RHOM.”

New ‘Housewives’ show premieres April 2 

While RHOM is not scheduled to return, Bravo is prepping for the premiere of the newest Housewives franchise. 

The Real Housewives of Rhode Island premieres April 2 and will follow a tight-knit group of women living in the smallest state in the U.S. The cast includes Bachelor Nation alum Ashley Iaconetti. RHONJ’s Dolores Catania will appear as a friend. 

Bravo has also launched two other new shows so far in 2026. The Valley: Persian Style is a spinoff of Shahs of Sunset. Meanwhile. Ladies of London was rebooted after a long hiatus with a new cast and an updated name, Ladies of London: The New Reign. A Summer House spinoff called In the City will air later this year. 

The Real Housewives of Miami Seasons 1-7 are streaming on Peacock.
