‘RHONY’ Alum Jill Zarin Isn’t Happy After Getting Herself Fired From Her New E! Reality Series Thanks to Her Bad Bunny Comments
Jill Zarin won’t be returning to reality TV after her inflammatory comments about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show, and she doesn’t think that’s exactly fair.
Jill Zarin fired from ‘The Golden Life’

On Tuesday, producers announced that they’d fired the OG Real Housewives of New York City star from the recently announced upcoming E! series, The Golden Life.
“In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in The Golden Life,” production company Blink49 Studios said in a statement shared with People. “We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values.”
Zarin’s ouster came days after the Bravo alum called the Puerto Rican rapper’s Super Bowl performance “the worst halftime show ever.”
“It’s 250 years that we’re celebrating right now in the United States, and I just don’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish,” she said in the now-deleted Instagram video.
Zarin also complained that Bad Bunny was grabbing himself in an “inappropriate” way and that his performance “looked like a political statement.” She said it was “very sad” and a “shame” that the NFL had “sold out.”
In addition, The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip alum criticized the show for having “no white people.”
Zarin defended herself after her she was cut from The Golden Life.
“They didn’t even give me a chance,” she told In Touch “I took it down right away. People make mistakes. I’m human.”
New E! series will follow ex-‘RHONY’ stars in Palm Beach
The Golden Life, which will begin filming this spring, will follow several original RHONY stars in their new life in Palm Beach, Florida. Zarin was supposed to join Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon, and Sonja Morgan in the new show.
“Bound by decades of shared history, fallouts and friendship, this fan-favorite group of New Yorkers are starting fresh together in the Sunshine State,” reads E!’s description of the show. “In this new ‘golden’ era of life, the longtime friends are thriving in and around Palm Beach with fabulous second homes and a bustling social scene.”
“With their signature humor and non-stop hijinks, the series will follow the group as they navigate dating, family, and career milestones,” the synopsis continues. “Though skies are bright in Florida, unresolved drama looms as they reconnect after years of highs and lows.”
Zarin was not the only ex-Housewife who found herself under fire for her comments about Bad Bunny. Taylor Armstrong from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills called the halftime show “embarrassing” and criticized Bad Bunny for waving “a Cuban flag.”
Housewives producer Andy Cohen addressed the controversy in the February 9 episode of his SiriusXM radio show. He seemed glad both women were no longer his problem.
“In terms of Jill, just… I don’t know. You know, call E!” he said.
“Two people who are not employed by Bravo anymore,” Cohen continued. “So just… Call E!”
