Bravo reinvented the long‑running reality series, The Real Housewives of New York City, in recent years after declining ratings and fan frustration. Following a complete recast and a “rebooted” season 14 in 2023, the network continued the franchise into season 15 with much of the same cast before moving ahead with plans for season 16. In addition to returning housewives and new faces, sources recently revealed that lifestyle mogul Martha Stewart filmed a cameo appearance. So, does this mean that Stewart is permanently joining the series? Here’s what to know.

‘The Real Housewives of New York’ Season 16 will feature Martha Stewart

The Real Housewives of New York City Season 16 is moving forward as Bravo aims to continue the rebooted era. Season 16 reportedly began production in early March 2026.

The network confirmed that Sai De Silva, Jessel Taank, and Erin Lichy will return from the previous season. And three new full‑time housewives have joined the lineup: Hailey Glassman (known as Jon Gosselin’s ex), Erika Hammond, and Daisy Toye.

Additionally, fan‑favorite Carole Radziwill is set to return in a “friend of” capacity. This marks her first appearance on the series in several years.

Most exciting of all, Martha Stewart reportedly filmed a cameo for RHONY Season 16. According to TMZ, the mogul will appear alongside Toye, as Toye is Stewart’s makeup artist. Stewart reportedly only filmed with the crew for a short period, as it’s already finished. With this in mind, fans won’t get to see Stewart join the cast full-time, though fans would certainly love for this to happen.

Previously, reps told Page Six that Stewart would not join the cast. “Not Martha,” they noted, adding, “She says she is not a ‘Housewife.'”

In 2015, former RHONY star Bethenny Frankel suggested that Stewart should join the cast. Fans may have forgotten that Frankel and Stewart go way back, as Frankel was the runner-up on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart in 2005.

She doesn’t like me. She never really has. She’s consistent,” Frankel told Seth Meyers. “We had a moment where we were going to do something on TV recently together. She’s always been like a parent that I’ve always tried to get them to love me, but I gave up on that a couple years ago when I had my own show. She just never misses the opportunity to say something negative about me or my products. So, I think she should be a housewife. She could get paid to rip me! That’s good for drama.”
