Bravo’s Andy Cohen ‘Sad’ About ‘Role Model’ Wendy Osefo’s Arrest

On Sunday, The Real Housewives of Potomac star spoke out for the first time since she and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were booked in Westminster, Maryland, on October 9. The Bravo star is facing 16 counts, including felony insurance fraud and misdemeanor charges of conspiracy to commit insurance fraud. Eddie is facing 18 counts.

“And through it all, GOD remains faithful,” Wendy wrote in the October 19 Instagram post, which also included two photos of her modeling a long, figure-hugging black dress with a white collar. “Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time. We are forever grateful.”

She then went on to urge her followers to watch the next episode of RHOP.

Wendy’s post generated a slew of supportive comments from her followers. One person who’s in her corner is fellow RHOP cast member Stacey Rusch.

“Love you,” Stacey commented on the post.

“Thank you for being a true friend and sister. I love you,” Wendy replied.

Wendy also got some love from Jacqueline Blake, who has appeared on past seasons of RHOP.

“He always shows up in our darkest times. Stay strong for them babies,” she commented.

Meanwhile, Bravo producer Carlos King also let Wendy know she was in his thoughts.

“Love me some you,” he wrote.

‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ star charged with fraud

The charges against Wendy and Eddie stem from a break-in that the couple reported at their Maryland home in April 2024. They told police that thieves ransacked their house while they were on vacation in Jamaica, making off with more than $400,000 worth of handbags and jewelry. The pair then filed an insurance claim seeking compensation for the loss.

But investigators say Osefos were lying about the theft. The alarm system and Ring doorbell camera at the couple’s home didn’t indicate any signs of a break-in. And some items they reported stolen had allegedly been returned for refunds prior to the theft. Wendy was also seen wearing an supposedly stolen ring in a photo shared on social media after the incident. When police raided the Osefos home this month, they also found some of the items that had reportedly been stolen. The investigation also found that the Osefos were “burdened by substantial debt,” hinting at a motive for the crime.
