‘RHOSLC’ Star Heather Gay Reveals How Much She’s Really Spent on Plastic Surgery
Looking good is an investment. Just ask Heather Gay. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on plastic surgery and other treatments over the years, she recently confessed.

Gay opened up about her approach to appearance-enhancing procedures to Bustle. She explained that in Utah, it’s a “Venn diagram of judginess and the pursuit of perfection” and that “everybody’s doing whatever they can to look their very best.”
The Bravo personality, who co-owns the med spa Beauty Lab + Laser, sees maintaining her looks as part of her job. To look her best on TV, she has a regimen of Botox, laser hair removal, and fillers. But because she owns a business that provides those services, she doesn’t have to pay out of pocket. If she did, her bill could be tens of thousands of dollars a year.
Gay also struck a deal with a plastic surgeon to get her two nose jobs for free. However, she did pay between $18,000 and $20,000 for a tummy tuck and another $8,000 to $10,000 for a breast augmentation. Prescription weight loss drugs are also part of her routine. She says she pays $500 per month for Mounjaro. Veneers for her teeth were $30,000.
“Counting all of the things I’ve had done, I’m probably $200,000 into my physical appearance. And it was worth every penny,” she said.
At the same time, Gay acknowledged that shows like The Real Housewives play a role in establishing a standard of beauty for women — one that it nearly impossible to meet.
“I think there should be no shame in people wanting to change the way they look. But I also see that the standard of beauty has become more and more artificial for women,” she said. “Being on TV, it’s really, really hard to see yourself constantly and to be amongst women who are physically flawless in every way. Everyone has perfect teeth, lashes, and hair. It’s what I call the required uniform of a Housewife, and as you become more of a Housewife, it becomes more entrenched.”
Some Bravo Housewives have plastic surgery regrets
Some of Gay’s fellow Bravo stars have expressed regret about their decision to go under the knife. Alexis Bellino from The Real Housewives of Orange County said she wished she had not gotten a boob job at a young age. According to Bravo’s Daily Dish, she eventually had multiple surgeries to correct various issues with her implants.
Tamra Judge from RHOC also wasn’t happy with her breast implants. She had them removed because she believed they were causing health issues. However, a few years later, she had another breast augmentation (via People).
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Rinna dissolved her facial fillers after she decided she wasn’t happy with the way they made her look. Sonja Morgan from The Real Housewives of New York City admitted to Us Weekly that she “went too far” when she got liposuction.
