Russell Crowe’s Weight Loss: Inside the Ways2Well Program He Uses
Russell Crowe has remained a steady actor in Hollywood for more than two decades after winning the Best Actor Oscar for Gladiator. In 2026, the New Zealand–born star continues to balance acting and producing with music projects while taking on new film roles. And in late 2025, he showed off a dramatic weight loss that he credited to the Ways2Well program. Here’s what to know about the health service.
Russell Crowe previously talked about his 55-pound weight loss after filming ‘Nuremberg’
Veteran actor Russell Crowe showed off his noticeable weight loss at the Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland in September 2025, according to People. He accepted the Golden Eye Award for Lifetime Achievement during a screening of Nuremberg. Even before this, fans noticed he looked trimmer in July 2025 when stepping out at Wimbledon. In November 2025, he opened up about losing 55 pounds since filming the movie. While on The Joe Rogan Experience, Crowe explained how he was 277 pounds when filming finished and was 222 pounds by November 2025.
While speaking on the podcast, Crowe explained how injections and intravenous treatments helped him tremendously.
“It’s calmed down my body’s inflammation,” Crowe said. “It’s calmed down a bunch of stuff, and it’s taken a bunch of pain away, so I can go and work out and not have to suffer for two or three hours afterwards.”
He also discussed how he no longer drinks like he used to. Crowe told Rogan that “one night a week” is “plenty” of fun for him.
“I’m a big proponent for having a drink,” the actor commented. “It’s my cultural heritage, and as a working-class man, it’s my god*** right, Joe. But as you get older, there are certain things you start to learn about your capacities …. I try not to have casual drinks now, having a drink for the sake of it.”
Russell Crowe utilized the Ways2Well program to access intravenous therapies and treatments
While speaking on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Russell Crowe explained how he used the health service platform Ways2Well for his intravenous therapies. Ways2Well provides “innovative diagnostic testing, physician-guided treatment plans, and a focus on whole-body wellness” to “empower people to identify potential health concerns early and make informed decisions for a healthier future,” according to their website. Brigham Buhler, a healthcare entrepreneur and former pharmaceutical rep, founded the company. They have two clinics: a “longevity lab” in Austin, Texas, and another clinic in Houston.
Ways2Well’s personalized health programs include lab testing, telehealth consultations, and treatment programs that target issues like inflammation and hormone imbalance. Common services include advanced blood testing, hormone optimization, regenerative medicine therapies, peptide therapy, IV vitamins, and weight-loss and metabolic health programs, among others. As for Crowe, he has a personalized health program that includes injections.
“I’ve probably connected with them about five times since that first time, and the real benefit I’m getting … because I’m not completely over the science, but it seems to be with these injections that I’ve been getting into my shoulders, my knees, but also these IVs,” Crowe explained.
Jelly Roll also uses Ways2Well
Russell Crowe isn’t the only celebrity using Ways2Well for weight loss. Jelly Roll also opened up about how the program helped him achieve his goals. While speaking to Men’s Health, he recalled speaking to the company’s founder, Brigham Buhler, about not wanting to use GLP-1 medications.
When Jelly Roll received his blood work, he saw “super high” insulin levels. “You’ll see heavy guys struggling for a long time in the early part because they’re not fast enough to strike that insulin down,” the country star said. “And it takes so long to do it.”
Jelly Roll added that his testosterone levels were those of a “preteen boy.” He also had high cholesterol. “The first couple of blood panels were like, how are you alive?” he recalled.
