Ryan Edwards and Amanda Conner’s Relationship Timeline
It is safe to say that the honeymoon is over for Amanda Conner and Ryan Edwards. Less than a year after tying the knot, the Teen Mom duo who met in court-ordered rehab have hit one massive rough patch. As arrests are made and new 911 call transcripts are released, MTV viewers are getting a completely fresh, though not entirely unexpected, glimpse into their romance. While the new drama plays out, let’s take a look back at how it all started.
Ryan Edwards and Amanda Conner met in rehab in 2023
Amanda Conner and Ryan Edwards don’t have a meet-cute love story to tell. The pair met in the summer of 2023 when they were both in court-ordered rehab. Ryan was ordered into rehab after a tumultuous year was capped off by Ryan destroying the home of his estranged wife, Mackenzie Standifer.
Amanda Conner found her way into rehab after a DUI and possession of a controlled substance arrest in 2023. It is unclear exactly when the pair established their romantic connection, but the first indication that things had turned romantic came while they were still living in a sober living home together. Following their stint in sober living, they headed out together, setting up a home not far from Ryan’s parents.
The couple landed a gig with MTV
Sobriety didn’t just land Ryan Edwards a new relationship — it also landed him the chance to reprise his role on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. After getting sober, Ryan and Amanda both appeared on season 2 of the Teen Mom spinoff series, alongside Maci Bookout, the mother of Ryan’s eldest child. Cameras followed the blended family as they navigated Ryan’s fledgling sobriety and the new relationship.
While they were not main characters, they still made plenty of money while appearing on the series. During divorce proceedings, Ryan revealed that he was earning $35,000 per episode for Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. Amanda was likely receiving her own separate check, though her rate is unknown.
The money stopped pretty abruptly last year, though. MTV has apparently not made a final decision on the future of the series at this time, though it has been on pause for roughly a year. Ryan told a judge the series was defunct, and Cory Wharton claimed it was canceled too. Still, MTV has not issued a final verdict.
They announced their pregnancy in October 2024
Sobriety, a new home, and a new job on TV weren’t all the changes the couple endured in their brief time together. In October 2024, Ryan and Amanda announced their pregnancy via Us Weekly. While the announcement was made in October, social media followers had long suspected the couple was expecting.
In January 2025, Amanda was spotted wearing an engagement ring. The following month, they welcomed their first child together. Presley Edwards was born on February 12, 2025. She is the couple’s first child together, but not the first for either. Amanda has a son, Brandon, who was born in 2013. Ryan became a father for the first time in 2008 with the birth of Bentley. Bentley’s mother, Maci Bookout, has been a main Teen Mom cast member since the show’s inception.
Ryan later went on to welcome a second son, Jagger, and a daughter, Stella, with his first wife, Mackenzie Standifer. Ryan and Mackenzie’s wedding aired on Teen Mom: OG, and their marital troubles played out in the tabloids. They separated in February 2023, though their divorce would not be finalized until two years later, long after Ryan met Amanda.
Amanda Conner and Ryan Edwards tied the knot just weeks after Ryan’s divorce
For the majority of Ryan Edwards and Amanda Conner’s romance, he was married to someone else. In August 2025, Ryan finalized his divorce from Mackenzie Standifer and celebrated by marrying Amanda Conner.
The couple said “I do” in a courthouse ceremony on September 4, 2025, just over two weeks after his divorce was finalized. Prior to their most recent troubles, both Amanda and Ryan were employed outside of MTV. He was working as a mechanic, while she reportedly worked at a rehab center. It is unclear what their current employment statuses are.
May 2026 has brought legal drama
For weeks, Teen Mom fans had been questioning Amanda Conner’s social media uploads. Several fans were concerned she had relapsed, thanks to the chaotic and aggressive nature of her recent TikToks. They received confirmation that their fears were justified over Memorial Day Weekend. On May 24, Amanda was arrested near her Tennessee home around 4 am.

A 911 call revealed that Ryan Edwards called police after Amanda, who had been awake for 48 hours, took off in her car with her infant daughter in the backseat. When police caught up with Amanda, she was charged with DUI and child abuse. Since the arrest, more trouble has come to light.
On May 25, Amanda called the police on Ryan, accusing him of abuse. An additional 911 call placed by neighbors on Mother’s Day has also been leaked. As more details emerge, it is becoming increasingly clear that the couple’s troubles run deeper than a single arrest.
