The recent reports about the former Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, and disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs having once been “friends with benefits” surprised people.

Some of Diddy’s former employees at Bad Boy Records reportedly said he even bragged about “slamming” Sarah. But when the names of those employees, who provided the information, remained anonymous, some decided that it was nothing more than a salacious claim that held no truth.

However, a few minds changed after photos began circulating of Diddy and Sarah posing at an event together several years back, showing that they did know each other and appeared to be on friendly terms. And when Fergie’s reps did not dispute any of the reports, people started to wonder if they did have a secret, romantic relationship.

Well, now, sources close to Sarah have decided to shut down that chatter and issued a denial, saying, “This is absolute fabricated nonsense, blatantly untrue, and yet another false allegation from [royal biographer Andrew Lownie].”

But speaking to The Times, Lownie defended his claim, stating that his evidence came from several people and he has no doubts about his sources, insisting, “I stand by it, it’s fully sourced with former employees of P Diddy and Sarah Ferguson.”

News Corp columnist Angela Mollard said she doubted the reports after Fergie’s denial, telling Sky News Australia, “The fact that Sarah Ferguson’s people have come out and completely said this is not true, bearing in mind what happened with the Epstein files and the constant flow of evidence that basically tripped her up. I’m not sure she would come out and completely unqualify and say it was a lie if there was any evidence, any hotel bills. The jury is out on it, but gosh, it is a good bit of gossip.”
