Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson‘s long association and friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein cost them their regal titles and their Royal Lodge home. It also completely ruined their reputations and embarrassed the royal family, especially their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

In October, King Charles announced that Andrew would no longer be known as a prince. In addition to the prince title given to him at birth, Andrew also lost the titles of Earl of Inverness, Baron Killyleagh, the style “His Royal Highness,” and the honors of the Order of the Garter and Knight Grand Cross of the Victorian Order. Andrew and his ex-wife were being evicted from the 30-room, 99-acre Royal Lodge estate they shared.

In a statement, the Palace said, “Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation.

“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him. Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

Andrew moved 100 miles away to a property in Sandringham, where he was arrested on Feb. 19 for suspicion of misconduct in public office, while Sarah fled the U.K. and was recently spotted at her hideout in Austria. Left in their wake are Beatrice and Eugenie, who are now paying for their parents’ sins.

The princesses have been banned from some royal events. They did not spend Easter with the royal family and it’s not yet known if they will be allowed to attend the Royal Ascot. Moreover, on April 2, the sisters were excluded from a celebration at Buckingham Palace in honor of their late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth‘s 100th birthday.

There’s even been talk that the sisters could be evicted from their royal residences in London. And now it’s being reported that their mother is completely “disgusted” by how King Charles and some other royals are treating her daughters following the release of Epstein files and arrest of Andrew.

A close friend of Fergie’s told Woman’s Day that “Sarah’s not normally a vengeful kind of person, but she is disgusted at how Charles is treating her and her daughters. She realizes now she was never going to be fully accepted — so she might as well take up her rightful honorary place as a thorn in Charles’ and William’s sides.

“She was told Epstein was being set up — which is nothing uncommon at that level of fame and money. To be tarred with the same brush as an actual pedophile is not something she can let slip by.”

Sarah has yet to make any public comments about her name appearing in the Epstein files. Andrew, meanwhile, has previously denied any wrongdoing regarding his friendship with the late financier, but has not made any comments since his arrest.
