“I am cohosting The View the week of February 15th, 16th, so I’ll be on The View all week,” Savannah explained. “I’m so excited for that because I like doing things that challenge me. I like doing things that educate me.”

While Savannah is no stranger to appearing on TV, The View is something completely different.

“I’m totally going outside of my comfort zone by doing The View,” the Special Forces alum said. “I mean, this is a show that has bashed, these anchors or personalities have bashed my family, have bashed me. These were the same women who made a comment to the extent of, ‘Wonder what she had to do for those pardons.’”

What Joy Behar said about Todd and Julie Chrisley

In 2022, Savannah’s parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were sentenced to years in prison on fraud and tax charges. In May, both received pardons from Donald Trump. That move didn’t sit well with some of The View hosts.

“According to this administration, if you are a reality star with a lot of money, and a tax cheat, and you commit fraud, then that’s good. We’re going to give you a pardon,’” Joy Behar said. “But poor people on Medicaid or food stamps, according to this administration, those are the real moochers in the country.”

“Somebody like this guy, Chrisley, whatever his name is .. he gets let off the hook,” she added.

The pardons were “not honest” and “not ethical,” co-host Ana Navarro agreed.

“Basically, there’s a huge for sale sign on the lawn of the White House. Basically, if you’re a supporter, if you are a donor, then you can buy pardons,” she said.

Savannah was a vocal advocate for her parents during their incarceration. She lobbied influential people for their release and spoke at various conservative political events, including 2024’s Republican National Convention, arguing that Todd and Julie were the victims of a politically motivated prosecution. Now that they’ve been freed from prison, Savannah has said that she’s considering going into politics herself.

On Monday, Savannah admitted that she didn’t expect to see eye-to-eye with the stars of The View.

“I’m going outside my comfort zone by going on a show where there’s four or five women who all believe one way — and I believe differently,” Savannah said. “I’m excited for it because I know God’s hand is going to be on me throughout that entire experience.”
