Sean “Diddy” Combs, the influential hip‑hop mogul, is serving a 50‑month federal prison sentence after being convicted in July 2025. While Combs remains incarcerated (with a projected release around mid‑2028), one of his high‑value assets, a Gulfstream G550 private jet registered to his company LoveAir LLC, has continued generating revenue through charter rentals. Here’s what to know about how much he reportedly earned through the rentals and eventual sale of his jet.

Before Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest, he was known for his private luxuries. And this included his jet, a Gulfstream G550 previously registered under his aviation entity, LoveAir LLC. Built in 2015, the matte black G550 featured plush interiors and space for up to 14 passengers, making it ideal for long‑range flights and high‑end charter service.

While Combs was incarcerated and facing federal legal challenges, the aircraft was placed on the charter market and reportedly completed at least 126 trips, according to Rolling Out Magazine. This reportedly resulted in over $4 million in income.

So, how did Combs do this? In the private jet charter business, an owner typically partners with a certified operator. This company is legally authorized to sell flight hours to third‑party customers, according to AVBuyer. They handle bookings, maintenance, crew scheduling, and regulatory compliance. When a jet is chartered, the customer pays an hourly charter fee that covers the aircraft, flight crew, fuel, landing fees, and other services. The charter operator then takes a management fee or percentage of that revenue (commonly around 15–20%). The remainder can go back to the aircraft owner, helping offset fixed costs.

Now, Combs reportedly no longer owns the jet. Silver Air Private Jets told Business Insider that the mogul sold the jet in October 2025. They didn’t say how much the plane sold for. But other listings show G550s are often sold for between $20 million and $30 million.

With this in mind, it seems Combs likely made between $24 million and $34 million from his jet while behind bars.
