Shakira’s “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” has become a career-defining victory lap. Launched in February 2025 in Rio de Janeiro, the stadium tour marks her first in seven years. And it supports her 2024 album of the same name. As the tour continues through North America, Latin America, and into early 2026 dates abroad, it has shattered attendance and revenue records. And it’s earned recognition as the highest-grossing Latin tour in history. Here’s what to know about how Shakira sold over 1 million tickets in Mexico.

Shakira’s ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour’ sold over 1 million tickets in Mexico alone

Beyond its sheer scale, Shakira’s “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” has distinguished itself through unprecedented commercial milestones. According to Billboard and Live Nation figures, the tour has grossed more than $421 million so far. This means it’s surpassed Luis Miguel’s previous benchmark to become the highest-grossing Hispanic tour of all time, with more than 3.3 million tickets sold across over 80 stadium dates.

“Breaking this record is a new milestone for me, considering that there are so many great artists who historically have toured in Latin America & Spain,” Shakira explained to Billboard. “After a 30-year career that took so much effort and met so many challenges, to be living this amazing moment is unbelievable. I can only be grateful for the loyalty and passion of my fans, who give meaning to everything I do, and without them none of this would be happening. Without a doubt, they are the best fans in the world.”

Demand had repeatedly forced upgrades from arenas to stadiums, most notably in North America. And her historic 12-night run at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros in March and August-September 2025 sold roughly 65,000 tickets per show (780,000 at the stadium alone). This set a venue record and underscored the tour’s dominance in key Latin markets.

According to Billboard, Shakira’s tour sold 1 million tickets in Mexico as of July 31, 2025.

“This is an unprecedented figure and a statement of impact as powerful as the historic record of her 12 sold-out dates at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City,” OCESA said. “One million tickets … in a country of 129 million inhabitants!”

Shakira has made her love of Mexico known to her fans

In March 2025, Shakira greeted her fans onstage in BBVA Stadium in Monterrey, Nuevo León, while on her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.” She noted how Mexico “opened its doors” for her.

“Good evening, Monterrey. Finally, my first night here in this country I love so much — Mexico,” Shakira said, according to Hola!. “A country that opened its doors to me, welcomed me, and where I have always felt at home. You are my second home. Thank you, Mexico. There is no better gathering than that of La Loba with her Mexican pack. Monterrey, tonight, we are one.”

“I think you know what it means for me to be here,” the singer continued. “It hasn’t been easy — life isn’t perfect. But if I’ve learned one thing, it’s that falling isn’t the end; it’s the beginning of a higher flight. After every fall, we rise wiser. Welcome to the ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour!'”
