Shark Week 2025: Schedule, How to Watch, and More
Summer’s biggest week is here. Discovery Channel is headed back to the water for another installment of Shark Week. The multi-day programming event is dedicated to all things Selachimorpha. The occasionally terrifying (and sometimes just terrifyingly goofy) celebration kicks off on July 20, and we have all the details you need about what to watch, how to stream, and more.
How to watch Shark Week 2025
All Shark Week programming will air live on Discovery Channel starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, July 20. Discovery is included with several live TV streaming services, including YouTube TV, Sling TV, and Hulu + Live TV.
Shark Week will also stream on discovery+ and HBO Max. Subscriptions to discovery+ start at $5.99 per month. Subscriptions to HBO Max start at $16.99 per month.
One change to Shark Week this year? There’s no official host. Last year, John Cena was the master of ceremonies. In 2023, Jason Momoa did the honors.
Shark Week 2025 schedule
Shark Week 2025 runs from July 20 through July 26.
This year’s event will feature 20 hours of new specials. It all kicks off with Dancing With Sharks on Sunday at 8 p.m. Tom Bergeron hosts the competition, in which five divers team up with sharks to put together an underwater dancing routine. Fans can also look forward to another Air Jaws special, Expedition Unknown: Shark Files, where Josh Gates investigates the biggest shark-related mysteries, and Florida’s Death Beach, which explores why Florida’s New Smyrna beach is the site of so many deadly shark attacks.
