What’s really going on with Sheena and Forrest?
The couple made their TV debut in season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Forrest, 32, traveled to the Philippines to meet Sheena, 40, his girlfriend of seven years, in person for the first time. At first, fans of the TLC franchise were taken with the sweet pair. But soon, cracks emerged in their story, with some internet sleuths (via Reality Tea) uncovering clues that Sheena and Forrest may have met years before they joined the show. Now, the couple is speaking out about those rumors about their relationship.
Sheena and Forrest from ‘90 Day’ slam ‘haters’
In a recent Instagram update, Sheena and Forrest addressed speculation that they met long before filming Before the 90 Days.
“Did yall really meet years prior I’m confused,” one person commented on a post from the couple’s joint social media account.
“I wouldn’t believe everything you see online,” Sheena and Forrest replied.
The couple also replied to another commenter who expressed disappointment in being lied to by TLC.
“Everything [you’re] seeing on the show is real and genuine,” they wrote. “I wouldn’t believe everything u see online. Hater’s be hating to hardcore.”
TLC star worried Sheena hadn’t been ‘100% honest’
In addition to questioning the Sheena and Forrest’s relationship timeline, 90 Day fans have also speculated that the show might have been hiding the truth about the couple’s financial situation.
As explained on the show, Forrest has been sending Sheena money, believing she’d be destitute without his support. He also knew that she was giving some of that money to her parents, leading him to wonder if she was being exploited financially. So, he was understandably surprised when he arrived in the Philippines and discovered his girlfriend and her family were living quite comfortably.
“I’ve heard over and over again that they need the money to fix this roof. Oh, they need money to do this. Oh, they need money to do this. That’s why they’re stealing all this money from me. But it turns out that this is a nice, fancy place,” he said.
“I feel like Sheena hasn’t been 100% honest with me,” he added. “What I’ve seen, it’s not the same as what I’ve been hearing for the last seven years.”
Forrest’s mom, Molly, who traveled with him to the Philippines, has expressed fear that Sheena and her family are scamming her son. But viewers have expressed doubt about that narrative. Sheena is an experienced veterinarian in Manila, while Forrest does not work and receives disability payments. If anything, they think Forrest and his mother are more likely to be the scammers than Sheena and her family.
