Sister Wives star Christine Brown has no regrets about baring it all in her new memoir.

In Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family, and Finding Freedom, Christine speaks candidly about her marriage to ex-husband Kody Brown and her often-contentious relationship with her former sister wives, Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Robyn Brown. While the experience of opening up about her life was sometimes difficult and scary, she also thought it was necessary, she said during a recent appearance on The Sarah Fraser Show

“If this really is my opportunity to tell my story, then I’m being disingenuous if I don’t tell the whole story,” she said. “And there are parts that are humiliating, but that is OK too … I just felt like me story would speak to other women and it was important to write.”

Christine left Kody and plural marriage in 2021. Since then, she’s cut ties with her ex-husband, his current wife Robyn, and her former sister wife Meri, though she’s still friendly with Janelle. But none of her former family members read the book before it was published. Now that it’s out, she’s still not sure they’ll pick up a copy.

“I don’t know if they’re ever going to read it,” she told Fraser.

Even if Kody does dive into her memoir, Christine said that she’s sure he’ll never speak to her about what she wrote about their marriage.

“He’s not going to say anything,” Christine said. “Of course, I’m sure he’s upset. But he hasn’t told me. He’s not going to reach out to me. I’m just going to hear it through the grapevine that’s he’s upset.”

‘Sister Wives’ star should write his own memoir, Christine says

Christine admitted that Sister Wife is based on her unique experience living plural marriage. Kody would likely tell a very different story of their relationship.

“This is my perspective and my point of view and this is what I felt happened,” she said. “If you feel different, write a book. Do it, please. We’d all love to know what goes [on] inside your mind. We’d love it.”

If Kody did write a book of his own, it would be a hit with Sister Wives fans, Christine predicted.

“People would read it because they’d want to know, why and how does your mind even work like that?” she said. “So if he needs to write a book, he can.”

During her conversation with Fraser, Christine also teased a conversation she and Kody have in the upcoming season of Sister Wives. After he ex told producers he wanted to extend an “olive branch,” Christine reluctantly agreed to talk with him.

“I think you’re going to see some things that will blow your mind,” she said. “He says some things that blow my mind and that I got very, very, very, angry at … you’re going to be really shocked. I’m still reeling.”
