‘Sister Wives’ Tell-All: Janelle Brown Denies She and Meri Brown Were Playing ‘Girl Games’ With Robyn Brown
Robyn Brown has it all wrong, her Sister Wives co-star says.
In a preview of the upcoming first part of the Sister Wives Season 20 tell-all special, Janelle Brown addresses accusations that she and Meri Brown were playing “girl games” and teaming up against Kody Brown’s only remaining wife during the negotiations over the sale of Coyote Pass.
‘Sister Wives’ star says she doesn’t know what ‘girl games’ are
“What girl games?” Janelle asks host Sukanya Krishnan in the clip, which was shared on Instagram. “What could we have been playing?”
“I don’t know what ‘girl games’ are. I know Meri and I were not doing anything other than trying to just get the project done,” she added.
The “girl games” accusations stem from a tense interaction between Kody and Robyn and Meri and Janelle earlier in the season, when they all met up to finalize the sale of the Arizona property. Kody and Robyn refused to speak to Meri and Janelle. Later, Kody told a producer that Robyn was picking up on hidden “nuance” from her former sister wives and that she “hates girl games.”
“I don’t really endorse fakeness,” Robyn said. “And like, ‘OK, let’s pretend like everything’s OK,’ when it’s not.”
Robyn Brown isn’t as good as reading nuance as she thinks, Janelle says
But Robyn was seeing something that wasn’t there, said Janelle, who left Kody in December 2022.
“Kody puts a lot of store in the nuance that Robyn reads,” Janelle told Krishan. “But I’m not sure her nuance reading is always accurate. In fact, I know it’s not.”
Krishnan suggested that Kody and Robyn might be upset that Janelle and Meri called Robyn “submissive” during a conversation that aired in on of this season’s episodes of Sister Wives. Janelle replied that Kody was in not in a position to criticize anyone, given his own behavior.
“He’s definitely called me a lot of names in this negotiation,” she said with a laugh. “Is that a girl game if he calls me names or he makes fun of me? … Maybe he’s playing girl games too. I don’t know.”
Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
