‘SLOMW’ Star Jessi Draper Leans Into Trends With Eye-Catching Divorce Ring, Expert Says
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jessi Draper is doing divorce in style.
Last month, Jessi’s husband Jordan Ngatikaura filed for divorce after five years of marriage. The couple share two children. Since the split, Jessi has alleged that Jordan was emotionally abusive and attempted to blackmail her regarding her affair with Vanderpump Villa’s Marciano Brunette. After moving to end his marriage, Jordan also filed for a restraining order against his wife.
As she navigates the end of her relationship, Jessi is also taking steps to move forward. That includes her new divorce ring, which she debuted on social media soon after the news of her divorce went public.

Increasingly popular, divorce rings are a way for the newly single to reclaim a valuable piece of jewelry after a split, rather than selling it or leaving it to languish in a box. The trend is especially strong in Utah, where Jessi lives.
The SLOMW star’s divorce ring is particularly striking, Laura Taylor, a jeweler specializing in engagement and wedding rings at Lorel Diamonds, told Showbiz Cheat Sheet.
“Jessi’s original engagement ring appeared to feature a 3 to 4-carat oval-cut centre diamond, set on a slim yellow gold solitaire band. It was a classic and traditional engagement ring style, designed to place all of the focus on the centre stone,” she said.
The original ring could have been worth between $45,000 and $85,000, depending on the diamond’s carat weight, color, and clarity, Taylor estimated.
For her new bauble, Jessi appears to have repurposed her engagement ring’s original diamond and had it rest in “into a ribbed yellow gold cigar-like band, with the stone set flush into the metal rather than raised above it,” Taylor said.
“The sides of the stone are secured within the gold while the tips remain exposed, creating a more modern look that feels completely different from her engagement ring,” she added.

Ring redesigns like Jessi’s have “become increasingly popular after divorce or breakups,” Taylor continued. “Rather than returning the ring or hiding it away, many women are choosing to keep the diamond but completely change what it represents.”
Jessi is also embracing current jewelry trends with her splashy divorce ring.
“Chunky gold bands and statement rings have made a major comeback, with more people moving away from delicate styles and choosing jewellery that feels bolder and easier to wear day to day,” she noted.
Jessi’s new ring could be worth even more than her old on. Taylor estimates that it could be valued somewhere between $65,000 and $110,000, depending on the gold weight and quality of the center stone.
