Who Is Soccer Star Marc Cucurella’s Partner, Claudia Rodriguez?

How long Cucurella and Rodriguez have been together
Cucurella and Rodriguez have been together since 2018. According to La Vanguardia, the two first connected when Cucurella was playing for Barcelona. After a mutual friend mentioned her to the footballer, he decided to message her on Instagram. Rodríguez responded, and they began dating soon after. She recalled that she was so drawn to Cucurella because she really enjoyed his sense of humor.
On June 15, 2026, the soccer player was transferred from Chelsea to Real Madrid, with Cucurella signing a six-year contract through June 2032.
Following the news, Rodriguez penned a goodbye to the English club via Instagram, writing, “I don’t know how to say goodbye to my home. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this experience. I feel very fortunate for everything we have shared over these past few years … Everything we have experienced these past years has been an experience of pure learning. We have been through it all, but above all, we have enjoyed this journey. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this chapter of our lives … I wish you all the best. London will always be Blue.”
In that same post, Rodriguez shared that she was also “bursting with happiness” about Cucurella’s move to Real Madrid because she has been a fan of that club since she was a child.
Rodriguez’s background and interests
Rodríguez was born on Sep. 1, 1999, in Mataró, Spain, a coastal city outside of Barcelona.
She studied classical dance for several years and was a ballet dancer. She later studied communications in college.
Rodríguez has built a strong social media presence and today is a content creator. She often shares glimpses into her family life with Cucurella, as well as her travels and fashion. During the 2026 FIFA World Cup, she garnered buzz over her custom-designed matchday outfits, which were created in collaboration with designer Carolina Castellote.
How many children Cucurella and Rodriguez have together
Cucurella and Rodriguez are parents to three children. Their oldest son, Mateo, was born 2019, followed by another son, Río, in 2021, and their daughter, Bella, in 2023.
Mateo was diagnosed with autism. Cucurella and Rodriguez have been open about raising a child with special needs.
In the documentary Married to the Game, Cucurella explained, “It has its negative side: everything takes more effort, everything is more difficult. But also its good side: when you achieve something, a simple step forward, it brings much more satisfaction.”
