The drama never stops on Sullivan’s Crossing. After a cliffhanger ending to the show’s third season, fans are wondering what’s next for Maggie, Cal, Sully, and the rest of the show’s characters. Well, the good news is that a fourth season is in the works, with the premiere set for next year. Here’s what we know so far about Sullivan’s Crossing Season 4.

Sullivan’s Crossing premiered in 2023 on The CW in the U.S. and CTV in Canada. But the romantic drama – which is based on a series of books by Virgin River writer Robyn Carr – found a whole new audience when the first three seasons were added to Netflix this summer.

Now, those new Sullivan’s Crossing fans will be happy to learn that the show is coming back for another season. Sullivan’s Crossing Season 4 will premiere in 2026 on The CW. The new season will have 10 episodes.

So far, there’s no official word on when the next season of Sullivan’s Crossing will stream on Netflix. But if the patter from season 3’s holds, season 4 will likely land on Netflix a few weeks after it wraps its run on broadcast TV. (Sullivan’s Crossing also streams for free on The CW app.)

Who’s in the ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ Season 4 cast?

The Sullivan’s Crossing Season 4 cast hasn’t been confirmed. But fans can expect to see Morgan Kohan return as Maggie Sullivan and Chad Michael Murray back as her love interest Cal Jones. Chances are good we’ll also see Scott Patterson as Maggie’s dad Harry “Sully” Sullivan, Andrea Menard as Edna, and Tom Jackson as Edna’s husband Frank.

Sullivan’s Crossing Season 3 ended with some major developments for all the show’s characters. Sully has found love with romance writer Helen Culver (Kate Vernon) and has left town to accompany her on a long trip to Ireland (though we don’t think he’ll be able to stay away from his campground forever). And after discovering she had a life-threatening brain tumor, Edna is on the road to recovery after a tricky surgery, performed by none other than Maggie.

Meanwhile, Maggie has made a big decision about her future. She’s decided to open a medical practice in town rather than returning to her high-pressure, big city career. Opening a practice in Timberlake will also allow her to pursue her relationship with Cal. But there’s a fly in the ointment. In the last moments of the finale, a man named Liam (Marcus Rosner) shows up in town and introduces himself as her husband, much to Cal’s shock.

Creator and executive producer Roma Roth teased that jaw-dropping moment in an interview with Collider, noting that it sets things up for a dramatic fourth season.

“There’s never a dull moment at Sullivan’s Crossing,” she said. “A romance drama series needs to have push and pull between your characters… we’re going to have a pretty big shoe drop at the end of the season that we’ll get to see play out in season 4.”
