Does Taylor Swift Own Property Near Yellowstone? Her Vacation With Travis Kelce Raises Questions
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce traded the glamour of Rhode Island’s fireworks for a quietly lavish retreat this Fourth of July, swapping star‑studded soirées for intimate moments amid Montana’s serene wilderness. The couple spent the holiday at the ultra‑exclusive Yellowstone Club in Big Sky. This invite‑only enclave requires property ownership and hefty initiation dues. With Kelce later spotted in Yellowstone Club merch and no public photos released, fans are curious if the pop star and the NFL tight end pulled the trigger on buying property in Big Sky Country.
Did Taylor Swift buy property in Montana to party at the Yellowstone Club?
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were recently spotted enjoying a private getaway at the exclusive Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana, a members-only resort known for its elite clientele and breathtaking alpine scenery. Nestled in the heart of the Rockies, the club offers luxurious amenities like ski-in/ski-out access, private golf courses, and fine dining, all wrapped in a secluded, paparazzi-free setting.
Membership at the Yellowstone Club comes with a hefty price tag. According to DailyMail.com, in 2018, members had to pay an initial fee of $400,000. They then had to pay annual dues of at least $40,000. And the prices have likely risen since then.
Additionally, prospective members must also own property on-site, with real estate prices often starting at $4 million and ranging up to $25 million or more. The San Francisco Standard reported in 2022 that there was a long waitlist to purchase a $22 million condo at the Yellowstone Club.
So, does this mean that Swift has a place near the resort to gain access to the exclusive, members-only club? As of now, there are no records indicating that Swift owns property in Montana. Swift and Kelce most likely gained access as guests of others who own property and are Yellowstone Club members. Members are allowed 100 guest days per season.
The Yellowstone Club might raise its initial fee to $1 million
For those who can afford it, the Yellowstone Club represents the ultimate blend of luxury, exclusivity, and natural beauty. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce can certainly afford a place to gain access to the Yellowstone Club if they so choose. However, many A-listers might still find the exclusive club unaffordable.
The San Francisco Standard reported in 2022 that there was frank discussion regarding the initiation fee. As if the $400,000 fee wasn’t high enough, the club reportedly discussed raising the initial fee to $1 million. Annual fees would also see a substantial increase.
The Yellowstone Club reportedly went bankrupt at one point, giving members the chance to buy homes for $1 million. These members allegedly want to keep the fees at a reasonable price. However, members who bought their homes for $20 million to gain access to the club want the fees to increase.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly looked at real estate together, but not in Montana
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce might be ready to take the ultimate plunge (that’s not engagement, that is). In January 2025, the power couple allegedly wanted to look at real estate in Kansas City.
“When they have time, they want to look at real estate,” a source told Us Weekly, noting that they’ve “talked about exploring buying a home together.”
In May 2024, it was reported that Swift and Kelce looked at property near Lake Como in the Lombardy region of Northern Italy. Homes in that region ranged from $1.7 million to $7.5 million. Later, the couple reportedly wanted to stay in Swift’s renovated Rhode Island home to raise a family.
We can’t say for sure where Swift and Kelce will land, but there’s no doubt that they have their pick.
