Taylor Swift was there for her friend on her big day. 

“The Fate of Ophelia” singer was in attendance when Selena Gomez wed Benny Blanco on September 27 in Santa Barbara. Swift says the day was magical and Gomez was the “most beautiful.”

“Not just the most beautiful bride,” Swift said during an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up on October 6. “Just like the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”

“[I’m] just so happy, and she deserves it so much,” she added. “And you only wish that for people, you know?”

Gomez couldn’t have been happier that Swift was there to celebrate with her. On Monday, the Only Murders in the Building star shared several wedding day snaps of her and her Grammy-winning bestie on Instagram. She also gave a shout-out to Swift’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl. 

“In honor of SHOWGIRL .. blessed to have you by my side almost 20 years later gator! I love you @taylorswift forever and always,” the Disney Channel alum captioned the post. 

Swift and Gomez have been friends since the late 2000s when both were involved with members of the Jonas Brothers. 

“Everything was cute, we were young,” Gomez said of that time during an Aug. 6 appearance on Therapuss. “She and I like to say the best thing we got out of those relationships was each other because it was really sweet.”

Gomez and Blanco tied the knot at Sea Crest Nursery before about 170 of their family and friends, including celebs like Martin Short, Steve Martin, Ed Sheeran, and Paul Rudd, Vogue Reports. Swift may take inspiration from her friend for her own upcoming nuptials. She and her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce got engaged in August. Swift has said that she actually doesn’t have a clear vision for her big day yet. 

“You would think that I had been the type of person who would have obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life, but I actually never thought about what I would ever do or what I would want until I met the person,” she told Spice Girls star Emma Bunton on the U.K.’s Heart Radio on October 3. 

“So I haven’t even thought about that, doing a hen do or whatever,” she added, using the U.K. term for a bachelorette party. “This is the first time I have thought about that.”
