Teddi Mellencamp Reveals Her New Boyfriend’s Reaction to Her Cancer Diagnosis
Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Teddi Mellencamp continues to get candid about her cancer journey. She currently has stage 4 melanoma, with tumors discovered in her brain and lungs in 2025. Today, she continues to keep her fans informed on what’s going on with her treatment. And she shared the news that she has a new relationship. Here’s what she said about the mystery man and what he thinks of her cancer.

Teddi Mellencamp is back on the dating scene, though she’s not ready to share too many details with the world. She and Two Ts in a Pod co-host Tamra Judge discussed the mystery man.
“I went on a date last night,” Teddi excitedly explained.
She noted that she wants to call the mystery man “Derek.” According to the Real Housewives star, she and Derek recently went on their 10th date. He’s older than she is and has college-aged kids living with him. She noted that he makes her laugh, and she plans to take things “slow,” which hasn’t always been the case in her past relationships.
“This is the part that’s so weird when you’re dating, and you’re both parents. Like, how are you ever supposed to get past first base?” Teddi asked. “… I have kids in my house. He has kids in his house. His kids are older, and they live there all the time. My kids are little, and they’re here all the time.”
Tamra asked Teddi what Derek thinks of Teddi’s cancer diagnosis. “He’s pretty good about it. He’s a relatively positive and logical person in general,” she explained. “He’s older than I am. But the thing that I like the most about him is he makes me laugh.”
Teddi filed for divorce from Edwin Arroyave in November 2024. Edwin has helped Teddi with her cancer, and the two have joked about their separation.
“[Edwin Arroyave] has turned into a pretty good divorce buddy,” Teddi joked online, according to Bravo. “Such a douche lord at first, but when your ex-wife almost dies, he saw the light. I am funny. Not jealous, and good at helping him pick my replacement.”
