Teen Mom star Mackenzie McKee and husband Khesanio Hall welcomed their twin daughters, Ja’Kharie Angie and Ja’Meikah Angella Hall, on June 2, 2025. The twins arrived just minutes apart via emergency C‑section at 31 and a half weeks due to pregnancy complications, including preeclampsia and her Type 1 diabetes. Weighing in at around 5 lbs each, the girls were immediately admitted to the NICU — a bittersweet beginning that saw one twin come home while the other remained hospitalized. Thankfully, both twins are now safe at home with Mackenzie and Khesanio. Here’s the latest update.

‘Teen Mom’ star Mackenzie McKee delivered twin girls in early June 2025

Teen Mom star Mackenzie McKee’s journey into motherhood with her twin daughters was marked by both elation and adversity. Following an IVF pregnancy complicated by her Type 1 diabetes and preeclampsia, during which she reportedly gained 20 pounds of water weight in just 48 hours, she delivered twin girls, Ja’Kharie Angie and Ja’Meikah Angella Hall, via emergency C-section at just 31 weeks of gestation. Each weighed just over five pounds and was admitted immediately to the NICU due to their premature arrival.

“Welcome to the world Ja’Kharie Angie Hall and Ja’Meikah Angella Hall,” she announced via Facebook. “Both named after our moms, the most beautiful ladies who mean everything to us. Born 31 1/2 weeks. 5,0, and 5,4. Both 17 inches long and O so beautiful. Mom and Dad are over the moon and so happy, the cries we cried when we heard those first cries. We are so in love.”

While one baby was ultimately able to come home, the other remained hospitalized. Mackenzie was left “so crushed,” as she described on social media, lamenting, “What do you mean you’re sending me home without my sister? My heart is so happy to have my baby home with me, and so crushed that my other baby is being left at the hospital. They went from being in my belly together to separate cribs across the room, now completely apart. But one day very soon, they will be side by side once again.”

Mackenzie McKee now has both twin daughters home from the NICU

After 10 days apart, Mackenzie McKee’s twin daughters were finally reunited, now off all medical support and able to nurse together — a milestone McKee celebrated as a triumph of resilience and love. Then, on July 9, 2025, the Teen Mom star posted a photo to Facebook of the twins side by side in two separate bassinets.

“Home! With two healthy babies,” she captioned the post. “God is good.”

Fans on Mackenzie’s page had some advice for her after seeing the newborns. Several fans pointed out that the babies should have socks and blankets to keep them warm. However, other fans argued that the twins were in Florida in the summer and would be just fine.

The following day, Mackenzie thanked “Jesus” for having the twins home, as it made day-to-day living much simpler. “The amount of stuff I am able to do and time I have not going to the hospital! Thank you, Jesus,” she posted.
