‘The Bachelorette’: Hannah Brown Faces Urgent Warning From Doctors After Rare Double Uterus Diagnosis
Since winning hearts as the bold and unfiltered lead on The Bachelorette, Hannah Brown has taken a sharp turn from reality TV fame to building a brand rooted in vulnerability and strength. From candidly opening up about personal struggles to authoring a best-selling memoir and launching her own podcast, Brown has proven she’s more than just a rose-giver — she’s a resilient force navigating life, love, and health in the public eye. Here’s what Brown recently discussed about her rare medical condition that may affect whether she has children.
‘The Bachelorette’ star Hannah Brown opened up about her double uterus diagnosis
The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown spoke on Maria Menounos’ Heal Squad podcast on May 6, 2025. Brown spoke about her polycystic ovarian syndrome and revealed her rare double uterus diagnosis.
“I still haven’t quite gotten to this because I’m not at a place where I’m ready to have children, and I didn’t want to have another thing to add stress, but I have a double uterus, and I had never been told that until this,” Brown revealed.
The reality star noted there’s “some risk” when she wants to have kids. Her doctors also warned her to freeze her eggs once she turns 30, which is her current age.
“There’s some risk in whatever may be there when I’m ready to have children,” she said. “It looks like they’re attached in some way, it’s just, like, almost split. She’s going to have to figure out, ‘Is one bigger than the other? Can it, like, hold a baby? Which one is better?’ It’s a whole thing. There’s been so much going on. I was like, ‘I need to put that on a shelf. I don’t need to be stressing about that right now.'”
Brown noted that the diagnosis “shocked” her. “But to have the knowledge of, ‘Hey, this is something that you’re going to want to take care of when you’re ready for that time,’ was helpful.”
The reality star said she goes ‘back and forth’ about having children
While speaking on the podcast, Hannah Brown gave a surprising answer to whether she wanted to have children. The Bachelorette star confessed that she goes “back and forth.”
“I definitely think I would love to have a child, and I don’t want to miss out on that experience,” she said. “But I haven’t been quite ready yet, which I think makes sense. I want to get married first. I want to be able to do that.”
Brown is currently planning her wedding to her fiancé, Adam Woolard. They’re tying the knot in the summer of 2025.
“I’ve never been to just like, just waiting, waiting, waiting for that to happen,” she continued regarding children. “But I do think I’m going to want to have that experience when it’s time.”
Hannah Brown gave her ‘non-negotiables’ when it comes to her health
Former Bachelorette star Hannah Brown opened up on the podcast about receiving a diagnosis for mast cell activation syndrome. The condition causes immune cells to become overactive, leading to uncomfortable symptoms.
“I had this one moment where I couldn’t even lift my legs to walk up the stairs to my apartment, and I had to call my — well, it ended up my neighbor opened her door — and I was like, ‘I can’t get up the stairs,’” Brown explained. “I am young, I am able-bodied, and something just started to shift.”
After heading to the emergency room, she received her diagnosis. Brown then gave her “non-negotiables” regarding her health, but she still has a few issues she can’t quite fix.
“Non-negotiables when it comes to health are definitely strength training,” she continued. “I’ve just realized how much better I feel moving my body in that way, and getting in three to four workouts a week. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy, but just moving my body is so important for me.”
Unfortunately, she still has “bouts” of inflammation that cause an intense “internal itch” in her legs “so severe” it makes her want to cry. “When I get back home, it’ll go away after a little while,” she continued. “But, it’s really hard.”
