ABC has officially stopped The Bachelorette Season 22 from moving forward after filming. Taylor Frankie Paul from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was officially set to find the love of her life on the dating series. However, after a video of alleged abuse and additional allegations, the network pulled the plug. According to spoilers from the season, Paul chose Doug Mason. So, are they still together? Here’s what to know.

‘The Bachelorette’ Season 22 star Taylor Frankie Paul reportedly chose Doug Mason, according to spoilers

Fans hoping to see Taylor Frankie Paul fall in love on The Bachelorette Season 22 won’t get their chance. In March 2026, ABC announced that they’re canceling the airing of the season, even though Paul had completed her journey in the show. The network made this choice following domestic violence accusations and a past video showing alleged abuse that occurred between Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen.

With this in mind, Bachelor Nation fans won’t get to see who Paul chose at the end of her season. According to spoilers, Paul chose Doug Mason.

Reality Steve reported that Paul chose four men for hometown dates and three men for overnight dates in Salt Lake City. Her final two men were Shane Parton and Mason. “They fly to St. Lucia for the finale, and it’s Doug and Shane, and then she gets engaged to Doug,” Reality Steve stated.

The spoiler guru noted that Paul and Mason get engaged at the end of the season.

So, who is Mason? According to his ABC bio, he’s 28 and an ocean lifeguard.

“Doug knows how to ride the waves of life, literally,” his bio reads. “As an ocean lifeguard and avid surfer, he’s ready to dive headfirst into this journey with Taylor. When he’s not at the beach, Doug enjoys watching Friends, cheering on the Lakers, and spending quality time with his sister. Swooon reports that Mason also pursued an acting and modeling career. His LinkedIn showed that he was a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton and worked as a talent brand specialist for Runway Waiters.

Are Taylor Frankie Paul and Doug Mason still together?

Now that The Bachelorette Season 22 is done filming, fans want to know whether Taylor Frankie Paul and Doug Mason are still engaged. According to Reality Steve, the couple is no longer together. The spoiler guru said he heard they broke it off after “about a month.”

“Doug was flown out to Utah to see her; their breakup was filmed,” Reality Steve alleged. “So, we will be seeing that on the, after the final rose, and again … I’m not privy to exactly what she told him of why they broke up, but …. I know it stems around Dakota.”

According to Reality Steve, Paul and Mason’s breakup more than likely had to do with Paul’s ex, Dakota Mortensen.

“Like anybody that has watched this show, anybody that has followed Taylor and Dakota’s journey for four seasons now knows these two cannot quit each other,” he continued.

However, photos obtained by The U.S. Sun show Paul and Mason arriving at a venue in Sherman Oaks to film on March 14, 2026. The pair might’ve reunited to film additional Bachelorette scenes.

Taylor Frankie Paul’s reps shared a statement to People following the news that her Bachelorette season has been canceled.

“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” the statement reads. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”

“There are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives. Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation, and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story.”
