TikTok star Gabbie Gonzalez has been arrested after authorities uncovered a murder-for-hire plot that involved the 24-year-old attempting to order a hit on Jack Avery, a former boy band star and the father of Gonzalez’s 7-year-old daughter. TikToker Gabbie Gonzalez charged with conspiracy to commit murder
Gabbie Gonzalez was arrested at Humboldt County Airport in McKinleyville, California, on May 15, 2026. Authorities caught up with the TikTok star as she was set to board a flight. She was immediately transferred to Los Angeles County, where she was charged with conspiracy to commit murder. The 24-year-old TikToker’s arrest came after an investigation revealed Gonzalez had planned to hire a hitman to kill the father of her 7-year-old daughter, Lavender.
According to arrest records, Gonzalez began following Avery back in 2021, hoping to mount a custody case against him. When her efforts failed to produce results, she moved on to threatening the musician. According to court records, Gonzalez and her friend, Kai Cordrey, solicited a man named Dustin Barca to threaten and harass Avery. Months later, her father, Francisco Gonzalez, allegedly attempted to hire an undercover agent to kill Avery.
Francisco Gonzalez was arrested in Florida on May 19 and will be extradited to California for an official arraignment. According to TMZ, the extradition is still in the works. Gabbie has made bail. The 24-year-old was released on May 22 after posting a $2 million bond. Gabbie might be out on bail, but she is not exactly free. She will be monitored by GPS and has been banned from contacting her child and her alleged victim. She has also been ordered to keep the story off her social media accounts.
Jack Avery has taken action
Jack Avery was seemingly unaware that there was a bounty on his head before Gabbie Gonzalez’s arrest. Since her apprehension, Avery has acted quickly to ensure he and his family are secure. According to several sources, the 26-year-old musician sought an order of protection against Gonzalez. That order was granted.
He has also requested emergency custody of the child he shares with Gonzalez. That request was also granted. While Avery did not share where he currently is, he did post a picture with his daughter on social media, thanking law enforcement for their hard work.
