Many of Chalamet’s fans were confused by his romance with Jenner, as she’s known for the dramatic ups and downs that come with the Kardashian-Jenner family.

Despite their differences, Chalamet and Jenner are making their relationship work. However, Chalamet allegedly has a few boundaries he doesn’t want to cross. “Timothée made his intentions clear early that he didn’t ever want to be a prop,” a source told DailyMail.com. “That is why he doesn’t want to be on the Kardashians’ show and is only seen with Kylie at events. He wants to be one of the Hollywood greats and wants to avoid falling into the trap of being known simply for who he is dating.”

The source added that Chalamet also doesn’t want to appear on Jenner’s Instagram, which has 393 million followers.

“We don’t see Kylie posting her relationship with Timothée, and that’s because she wants to keep him around,” the source continued. “She loves him, and they see a future together. So, if keeping him off her socials works, then she will continue to do so.”

Kylie Jenner doesn’t discuss her romantic relationships in The Kardashians, and this might be because Timothée Chalamet prefers the privacy. In January 2025, a source told The U.S. Sun that Jenner refused to mention Chalamet in the 2025 season. Instead, she planned to focus on Kylie Cosmetics and her other personal achievements.

By not discussing Chalamet, Jenner might irk viewers. “It’s tough because they think their work is super interesting, but audiences don’t want to hear about it,” the insider alleged.

In August 2024, a source told Life & Style that Kris Jenner hoped for Chalamet to make a few onscreen appearances in their reality show. At the time, it seemed like a possibility. However, it seems more and more unlikely that Chalamet will make a reality TV appearance as time passes.
