Reality TV addicts will remember My Strange Addiction, which originally aired from 2010 to 2015 and “explores the unfiltered stories of people whose obsessive behaviors have taken over their lives.”

“Each episode dives into bizarre, real-world situations revealing how these addictions shape daily routines and impact the way they navigate the world,” TLC said in its announcement.

The new season kicks off with Wendy, a woman from Florida who eats two pounds of raw meat a day, leading her disgusted family to become concerned for her health.

In the premiere, viewers will also meet Craig, a Las Vegas bodybuilder whose bulking hobby has turned into a dangerous obsession, and Kathryn, a Virginia woman who is a serial food snorter. She stopped chewing her food after a college dare and now blends and snorts all her meals. Kathryn wants to reveal her secret habit to her new boyfriend Alex, but she’s not sure if it will send him running in the opposite direction.

One man refuses to stop eating live bugs

Later in the season, a woman named Kaylyn copes with her childhood grief by foraging and eating grass, while Socratis, a veteran with PTSD, lives in a home filled with more than a hundred snakes he swears have a calming effect on his mind. There’s also Tajah, a 35-year-old woman whose lifelong thumbsucking has caused skin damage and caused problems in her dating life.

This season of My Strange Addiction will also feature a man who eats several pounds of makeup a week, and another man who can’t give up his daily habit of eating live bugs.

“Do you realize that 70% of the globe eats insects?” he says in the teaser.

Later, a medical professional warns him that he’s “contaminating” his body with “active parasitic infections.”

“I don’t care if it’s bad for me,” he replies.

In addition, the new episodes will feature at least one addiction that didn’t even exist when the show first aired. Sarah is a young woman who has developed a relationship with an AI chatbot. But her romance with a virtual partner is causing strain in her close-knit family.

The trailer also features a glimpse of a man chowing down on cardboard and a woman who nibbles on hot glue sticks.

“It can cause stomach cancer. It can cause brain problems,” a doctor warns her. “Fifty percent of people who have a blockage die.”

“Over the years, My Strange Addiction has built a passionate fan base that never stopped talking about it, sharing the most viral moments, and asking when we’d bring it back,” said Alon Orstein, SVP of Production and Development, TLC. “The new season delivers everything people love about the series. It’s bold, surprising, and completely unforgettable. TLC is proud to continue showcasing the stories that endlessly captivate audiences, with the real and extraordinary human experiences you truly cannot find anywhere else.”

My Strange Addiction premieres Wednesday, January 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
